Yeah...it was a good run for the Caps.

Chalk me up for the Blackhawks Stanley Cup Champs bandwagon too. When did they win last, the 60s? Somewhere Ron Wilson is crying. 1961, it's the longest Stanley Cup drought in the NHL at the moment and I hope it'll end this year because I've been a fan of the Blackhawks for 15 years or so and really want to see them succeed. Of course, I'm fairly sure that Detroit will win the Cup again... I don't think I'll be able to contain my apathy if/when that happens.

3-0 Pens. This is pretty much over. No way the Caps can score 3 goals, and then try to win the game.

4-0 now. This is a nightmare for the Caps.

Wow, every shot by the Penguins seems to go in. 4-0.

go pens .. *nail biting* we've done a lot to keep Ovie to a minimum, but he's still an explosive player.

I'm pretty sure the Caps are wishing that the game would just end already. This is an absolute nightmare.

5-1, pretty bad blunder from Fleury there. Too little, too late though.

I'm actually kind of surprised this series went this long, I thought the penguins would win in game six but unless the caps pull off a miracle like the blackhawks, this series is over.

I'll take the win, but God DAMN it does Fleury need to get his head screwed on straight and not keep making stupid mistakes.
Great to see the Big Pens reverse the mirror-world fate that seemed in store after the AHL Pens lost, though.

I'm more worried about the Canes than Boston. Dunno why, they just give me a bad feeling and I think they've beaten us badly a few times this year. Just the vindictive bitch coming out in me.. but I wanted Ovie out before Sid and Geno (only happier that it was Sid and Geno that did it) and I want Detroit not to make it much farther so that can blow up in Hossa's face.

The Hurricanes absolutely embarrassed the Penguins the last 2 times they played them, and they always make Cam Ward look like the best goaltender in the history of the game. I don't honestly think the Pens have enough to beat either team, especially with Fleury playing as inconsistent as he has, but I think they're less likely to be swept by Boston than they are by the Canes. On the other hand, the Pens would get home ice if they got Carolina.. Eh, who knows. I wouldn't expect them to beat either team, but you never know until they play the series.

That's longer than even the Maple Leafs, last winning in 67. If Chicago wins there's certainly hope for any team to win. Maybe Montreal finally in 2010...?

That was Fleury's nicest assist since he scored the winning goal for the USA juniors a few years back.
