Does anybody not see what's coming? Judging by Backlash last night, it's pretty apparent that we're destined for a Randy Orton/Batista program in addition to a Cena/Big Show feud. Can you say....BORING?
Orton/Batista looks good on paper (both the former "young" members of Evolution, plenty of history, blah blah), but the promos for this are going to be excruciating. Orton can be a great heel when he has a good face to work off of, but I just don't see that in Batista.
And Cena/Show....*sigh*. I'd be bored enough watching these two feud over a major belt, let alone over bad blood. Is there anyone who really wants to see these guys stink it up at a PPV?
And Matt Hardy's injured! Sheesh, the only reason worth tuning into Raw now is to see Santino.

It's been said, but it deserves re-saying: Smackdown = 1998 WWF Raw = 1998 WCW

As long as there's Santino, i can live with Borton and Snoretista.

Yeah Orton is stale! I was hoping for more JOHN CENA and TRIPLE H on Raw.

I'd actually say it's less stale, since the WWE's supposed juggernauts, Cena and HHH are gone (hopefully) for a while.

I wonder if Edge will make an appearance as the WHC-- he can continue his feud teasing with Christian now that the Hardy feud is one brother down.
I'm thinking Miz and MVP might be able to steal the show with a new storyline involving the US Championship, Kane's pyro, and HLA.

I actually thought Batista was going to feud with Shane, a prospect more frightening than anything.

I find absolutly nothing remotely interesting about Batista outside of photoshop fodder. His mic work eats mollasses drenched ass and his ring skills harken back to the days of cartoon WWF from the late 80's. Where would the drama come from a Randy Orton/Batista fued? CAN BATISTA BEAT ORTON CAN BATISTA FINALLY CAPTURE THE WORLD TITLE??? Yes and yes... and once he does both so what?

On Raw, it looks like we're heading towards Legacy dominating Raw. Now that Orton won the belt finally, it means that Priceless is going to win the unified tag team titles to cement them as up and coming stars rather than lackeys. From there it would be easy for a 4th member to try to impress Orton, and he can say "if you beat MVP for the belt, then you join us".
The rest of the card is going to be filled out with endless video montages, skits, Santino, Cena VS Big Show, and any combination of 4-6 superstars in contention for the US title rotating matches to keep it interesting.
Other than that, look for Raw to be dominated by Legacy, Batista, and the McMahons for awhile, probably until HBK and HHH return and likely reform DX for the 20th time to take on Legacy.
For actual wrestling, I've been watching and really enjoying ECW. Smackdown isn't too shabby either on Friday nights. LOL I watch wrestling near everyday now!

Whats going to be funny is watching Batista play the face against Orton.
Orton gets half face pops against HHH who the fans view as a legend, AND this was after Orton did all these reprehensible things to his family. Now he's facing Batista who many fans are luke warm to.
If Batista takes on Orton in Chicago at Judgment Day that might be a 75-25 crowd split FOR ORTON.

If you like ECW you should really give Superstars a try. Its basically the same format with bigger name guys.
