I don't agree. The roster is too big and there is just too much talent to have just 1 world title. People always complain how boring it is to see Cena/Triple H/Batista/ Randy Orton/Edge fighting for titles. Imagine if there was only 1 belt. It would be these same guys, in the main angles, on both shows for the next 10-12 years until they retire. Remember the 15-30 minute interviews during the Attitude era? It's that, all over again with those same 5 guys. The Brand split allowed guys like Edge, Jeff hardy, Cena, Brock, Eddie Guerrero, Benoit, RVD, JBL, etc. to shine without alienating the WWE's "money" guys. If those guys are already hogging the top spots then it won't be a problem. Now imagine letting some of these younger guys like John Morrison and MVP shine in a strong midcard instead of floundering in two watered down rosters where all that matters is the main event players.

I agree with you if that happened on all three brands. But it doesn't, Raw is the only brand littered with stars in every spot. And all that matters is the main event. The PPVs being all crunched up is the real problem. If the WWE would allow Smackdown and ECW to have separate PPVs away from RAW. The stars that they are developing would be a much bigger deal. Isn't that how Batista, Orton, and Cena became main event players?

The brand split was never anything more than a cheap ploy to milk fans for even more of their money. Who in their right mind could've ever thought that watering down a promotions roster(s) would improve the product?
