I DL'd the demo on PS3 the other day and liked it. The controls will take some getting use to but, it was fun. I thought it was weird that Hogan looked 10ft tall but, I guess that is "arcade style".

I'm not sure if I like the controls. I like certain aspects and the idea of the controls but there's way too many things that have bugged me to no end. I want to like the game but I'm having a hard time liking it.
I was playing the RELIVE mode with Austin/Rock and I just couldn't figure out how the hell to get The Rock over to the stage. Sure, the tutorial says (Press X near the aisle when opponent is groggy) but I've tried that COUNTLESS of times and it just won't go.
Also, I have yet to lift a superstar to their feet. I've tried that so many times but it just keeps doing a move instead. I know it's (X in the opposite direction of the opponent) but it never works for me.
Can any of my fellow Crappers help me so I can enjoy this game?

There was no ref in the demo. Is there going to be one in the game? I heard Joey Morella before.

I started using the dpad instead of the analoge stick and that really helped considering this is supposed to be an old school throwback. Does the PS3 have a dpad? I don't know much about the PS3. As others have said it's best to play Hogan/Andre on 2 player, give yourself Heenan and then play around with the controls.

They should really have left only ONE of the two methods to control the superstar. What's the point of having the left analog stick available to control the superstar when it doesn't work as well? How are we supposed to know the D-pad is better? Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to enjoy it now.

So the controls aren't anything like the SvR ones?

LOW has a more arcady control which has been likened to Wrestlefest. I started using the dpad instead of the analoge stick and that really helped considering this is supposed to be an old school throwback. Does the PS3 have a dpad? I don't know much about the PS3. I very rarely f*** up what I'm trying to do these days.

So can you import legends from SVR09? What legends are in that game?

Downloaded the demo, really didn't like the game, so I've deleted it, and won't be buying the game.

I wasnt completely fond of the demo but the presentation was very amazing...I am buying the game however just because of the nostalgia factor that it provides...creating guys like surfer Sting, IRS, Razor Ramon, 123 Kid, Smoking Gunns, Muta, Vader and others...its going to be so great especially with custom soundtracks
the lack of a ref though is a huge turn off...it completely takes away the heel element and really limits the use of the managers...Seeing as how a special guest ref stip was a major part of alot of wrestlemanias im dumbfounded as to how this was not included...
hell im also dumbfounded that they didnt make any old school stips at all...strap matches and lumberjack matches etc

anyone else worried that the replay value is going to be horrible since there is no career mode or anything at all really for your created wrestlers to do? A create a ppv would of atleast added some depth to it...

d/led the demo.... I like it, for what it is.
It's nothing groundbreaking or anything, but the point is to get lost in the nostalgia, not so much to make this incredibly complex game.
The Re-Live part is pretty difficult though.... I spent a while trying to beat up the Rock, then the rest of the time he beat me up. Not a whole lot of time could be spent trying to get the achievements.
