Paul Heyman's slightly perplexing rechristening of the Dudleys that never really caught on in 2004.
What was the deal with this? Was it really just so Paul Heyman could confuse a face by declaring he would fight "The Dudley" without disclosing which half-brother it would be?

Pretty much. He was saying that separate, they were a force, but together, they were an unstoppable monster. They made Undertaker "kill" Paul Bearer, that's all I really remember about this.

There wasn't much to it. Heyman only did that for a few weeks in April of 04 against Eddie Guerrero and RVD I think.

I think they realized that the "Boyz" part of their name was 10 years too late and they needed to shy away from the add a 'Z' instead of an 'S' fad.

"The Dudley" was weird, but even better was "The Boss".
I miss Spike ordering D-Von and (Bubba) Ray around.

Ahh, the great Dudleys push of 2004.
That, er, never really worked.
