I remember this rumor flying around years ago. A quick Google search will reveal that Jindrak was, in fact, slated to join the stable. He has confirmed it in several radio interviews.
Apparently he was even a part of two separate video shoots for the group's titantron. Vince decided to pull the plug on the idea after being disappointed in Jindrak's work at a series of house shows.
The question is this: had Jindrak been included in Evolution, do you think he would have eventually gotten over with fans? Or would he have ended up being cut loose eventually?

Depends on when he had joined Evolution and how he was booked.
I could see him and Orton being pushed as a tag team, which would have had the effect of a) Slowing Orton's single's push and b) Effectively putting Flair in the 4 Horsemen-like J.J. Dillion role.
But, yes, putting him in that group and having Trips and Flair hammer the industry into his head much the way they did Batista and to a lesser extent Orton (who had most of it put in his head by his father) would have defineltely improved his chances of getting over.

Depends on when he had joined Evolution and how he was booked. This was the summer of 2003 when it was Orton Flair and HHH I remember them scouting jindrak who had a match against Jericho that night. They even had a wwe.com survey asking fans who they thought would join. But yeah...... Mark Jindrak as a world champion.......... ;D Nope I cant say that with a straight face either.

Everyone would have turned on him once Vince and company decided he wasn't deserving of being in the group. Then Hunter would have got on the mic and said that the weak links always go extinct.

It's an interesting thought to imagine him in the Orton or Batista roles. I always liked him, but preferred O'haire & Palumbo to his breed from WCW. It would of course have helped his career, working in main events and being schooled by Flair & HHH, but to compare him with Orton wouldn't be the same as Orton was already taught by his family. Id loved to see anything they have of him during those times though, because at the time I didn't see much in Batista either. I really couldn't see Jindrak beating whoever and winning the world title so young, but back then I couldn't see Orton being who is today so it's a tough cookie.

he would've gotten 10 times more over with the crowd then with his Reflection of Perfection gimmick when he had Teddy Long as his manager...

He'd probably still be around, but as the member of Evolution that never won a World title.

It would have made me despise Evolution that much more. But, not in the good way.

Just about anything could have happened.
Yeah Jindrak didn't look like he was worth much, but Orton didn't before joining Evolution either.

Just about anything could have happened. Yeah Jindrak didn't look like he was worth much, but Orton didn't before joining Evolution either. Neither did Deacon Batista, for that matter. Mark Jindrak had a whole lot of potential.

Jindrak would have been a fusion of Batista and Orton.
Of course, he would be remembered as the Evolution member that never held the big one.

What if Mark Jindrak joined Evolution? What if Mark Jindrak joined the NWO? What if Mark Jindrak joined Los Boricuas? These are the questions that we'll never know.

He would probably be a main eventer right now. As much as people on these boards and I give Triple flack, it was Triple H's idea of making a stable in which it's two young rookie members will become future main eventers and world champions. Apparently Triple H and Ric Flair spent alot of time in coaching Batista and Orton to become huge stars.
