"Most guys" aren't interested in women that can kick their asses. They wanted to market her Playboy stuff, so they had to tone the testosterone down and put her back in the womens division. I dig girls who can kick my ass. Same.

Honestly, I think there also was the matter of her ringwork. They always tried to market her as being able to hang with the guys, but her matches against the guys were usually (though not always) pretty awful. Male wrestlers frequently had to sell really weak, crappy-looking offense from Chyna, which made them look ridiculous and made the overall product seem hoaky. In the women's division, Chyna could squash bump-takers like Ivory, Lita, etc., and it came off a lot better. That's how I looked at it.

Because the (then) WWF didn't want to spend extra money making a special Hermaphrodite Champion title? And the only challengers would have been Hervina, Cloudy, and Michelle McCool. ;D That's still as deep as the current tag division.

Why do some former world Champions like JBL, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, etc gun for the U.S./IC/Tag team titles? Same answer as that. Well the answer to that for me is maybe they feel they can be more dominant in a lower tier of competition......(world) would you rather be on top and likely to lose? (midcard) or be on top and know you won't lose?

I see McMahon sitting in his office smoking, when all of a sudden some flunky runs in and gives him the breaking news: Chyna is a girl. VKM is taken aback, but decides to rectify the situation the only way he knows how.

Okay, this has been bothering me ever since it happened, and I've been meaning to make a thread about this. In The Attitude Era, The Ninth Wonder of The World proved to be one tough cookie. She was built as a believable threat to the men's division. She was the first Women ever to compete in the Royal Rumble and King of The Ring tournament. For one week, she was a number one contender for the WWF championship. Later that year, she defeated Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Championship, after weeks of his sexist antics and prejudice towards the opposite gender. She held the championship two more times. Then, in late 2000/early 2001, she feuded with Ivory OVER THE WOMEN'S TITLE and then winning it. That didn't make sense at all. She proved that she can hang with the guys, and then she competes for the Women's championship?!?!? I never got that. I know she was on her way out of the company, so it might've been due to politics(Triple H might've played a role since he was no longer with her), but still. Can somebody please explain this to me? Cause they figured out after a while that she was, in fact, a WOMAN?

I remember Chyna squashing people and then saying that she needed to resort to spanking her opponents. I also remember her and Ivory doing a promo where both of them just started laughing at how ridiculous it was. This was before Wrestlemania X-7, I think.

chyna was a breath of fresh air when she debuted, she was nothing we really seen before in wrestling, sure her wrestling skills left a lot to be desired but people were drawn to her anyway and she got over big time. but chyna's fall was all because of chyna, her ego got out of control and i heard she became quite the problem backstage so taking her away from intergender matches and putting her in with the women was in a way a punishment to her
