Alice In Chains will be releasing their fourth studio album "Black Gives Way To Blue" in Sept. Yesterday, they debuted one of the songs from the album on their official website.
If you go to AliceInChains.com, you can download the MP3 for free for the time being.
I am REALLY exited for the new record.
PLEASE keep this on topic and don't start with the "They should change their name!" stuff.
Thanks.
EDIT: Tour dates have been added, I am so f***ing there in NYC and Boston!

They should really change the band's name. The reason I listened to Alice In Chains is dead, dudes.

"Black Gives Way To Blue" is a really cool album name. I haven't listened to the whole song yet, but from what I've heard I've enjoyed...I mean, it's not the Alice in Chains of old, but it was never going to be. I'll enjoy it for what it is.

I like it but the singer's voice is very underwhelming.

I like it but the singer's voice is very underwhelming. I think I agree with this. I enjoyed the song, looking forward to more from AIC, and everything clicks for me except the singer's voice. Still I think this CD is a must buy for me. and thanks for posting this!

Maybe one of you guys could answer my question. For YEARS now I've been trying to identify this Alice In Chains song where towards the end, they just hum. I heard it one time on the radio after Layne Staley passed but I could never get the title. Haven't heard it played since then either.
Anyone? Any clue?

Are you sure it was an AIC song and not one of Jerry's solo's. Because I'm thinking it's Anger Rising.

If so, when I make it rich, the Internets are yours. You have my word.

Cantrell is still playing guitar and co singing?
Yes...then of course I love it.
Nothing but respect for Layne Staley and his fans; but to me this was always jerry's band.

They should really change the band's name. The reason I listened to Alice In Chains is dead, dudes. William Duvall wasn't even part of the band when they started the reunion, he was just filling in on vocals, almost booked like a back up guitartist. It's been three years since they been back together, changing the name would be dumb now. It wasn't untill last December they finally said he's our new singer, and were recording a new cd. It was a slow transition, hearing the new song. I'm 100% sold now.
