Why? Well a little backstory, this film was based off the popular book of the same name. Fast food nation the book was a commentary on the mass production of food that some say was spearheaded by the popularity of fast food. So upon hearing that you would think that the logical way to adapt the book into a film would be to make a documentary like Supersize Me or something. Well you would be wrong because what they did was turn the book into a work of fiction! And not only that! They turned the book into a work of fiction that makes absolutely no sense and has scenes that serve little to no purpose. And yet some critics still praised it! Seriously after watching this film you will want to go out and personally yell at every single critic who liked this movie. It's that bad.

Read and enjoyed the book, no interest in the film.
The cheese is at the bottom of that burger, is that legal? Cheese goes on the burger, ON THE BURGER!

I saw that movie and I read the book. If the movie wasn't suppose to be tied in with the book, it wouldn't have been half bad. I don't even agree with the message that the movie was trying to send but it wasn't that bad. I think this is Halloween 3 syndrome. If it was called something else people would think differently. I, for the record, hated Halloween 3 and it has nothing to do with Michael Myers. I didn't mind Fast Food Nation although it had nothing to do with the book.

Like Chris Cornell's newest album, it probably would have gonna better reviews if people didn't know Timberland produced it.

Is it ironic that the burger on the poster makes me want to eat a burger right now?

I loved the book, and when I heard it was being made into a movie I thought of a "Bowling For Columbine" type of documentary movie. I was thrilled. Then I heard it was a fictional movie...meh...
I haven't seen it, but I probably will eventually. I think it would have been better served by the documentary route.

I didn't like the movie, but it almost worked as a live fiction story. Almost. Kinda reminds me of Adaptation. Think maybe the screen writer wanted to do a documentary but couldn't figure out how, so he said f*** it and made it into a real fiction movie?

It really, really should have been a documentary. What I saw bored the hell out of me.

Well here's the thing, I haven't read the book. I know about the book because my brother is a crazy organic food guy and he's read the book and seen the movie. The thing is, this movie goes off into so many different plot points that it becomes staggering! To top it off, some of those plot points didn't even have to be in the movie (like the girl going out with that guy and becoming a meth addict). But going back to my brother, he also hated the movie too because they show some things that they explain in the book... but they never explain them in the movie. Yeah all those weird landscape shots that seemed to go on forever, they apparently have to do with how cows are farmed currently but the film doesn't explain that.

"Would you like lies with that"
I could swear that that was a joke on the Simpsons once.
