Well, it's not 100 sure it was motivated by racism though.
With that said, all racist people should be locked up. Clear and simple.

When he said they changed the complexion of the place, I at first thought that they peed in the pool.
I know better now.

Search me, I can't believe the manager of the club would have the guts to actually say that the kids affected the "complexion" of the club.
Yeah, bud, why not just use the golf course for cross burnings, you'll look better.

Damn. I thought the quote about the lady saying she thought the kids would "do something" to her child was crazy.

"it wasn't racially motivated, but they changed the complexity of the pool"
Okay yeah.
I'll take a look at the statement from the employee that said that the reason they were asked to leave was becasue they didn't have enough lifegaurds. Fine, that's a reason to ask them to leave that day. Go to the group leader and say "sir/madam, we weren't expecting this big of a crowd and we don't have enough lifegaurds to make sure everyone is safe can you come back later?" and you're good.
They took away the memberships because they came on a day that had a lot of people there and not enough lifegaurds. Then the "complexity" comment.
This is the sort of thing that if karma existed, the complex would close down.
And yes, from the title of this thread, I thought the kids peed in the pool

It does reek of racism, and if not that, the fact the kids are at 'day care' and not perhaps, guaranteed to be of the wealthy, opulent variety they like their clientelle. The fact the one mother feared for her child in the midst of other children says a lot for the usually attendees.

Seriously, if the kids had done something to warrant this, I'd be a bit understanding, but with no warning and that godawful comment by the club President, he shouldn't be surprised if he sees members of the NAACP camped out on his doorstep tomorrow morning.

"He said two other day-care centers, neither of which included minority children, had previously been similarly disinvited."
If this is true, then there very well could be something more to it. Maybe the kids were too loud and rambunctious, thus changing the atmosphere of the pool from one of serenity to one of chaos?

The complexion remark to me just sounds more of poor word choice... as it can also mean character/image. but still when 95% of the time that's the definition people think... you might want to not use it.... or at least hire a part time PR Firm that tells you to shut the hell up.

Honestly, we don't know how the children behaved themselves. If they acted poorly, I can understand the "complexion" comment. However, they are kids at a pool, it's not like they're flinging meatballs at a fancy-shmancy four-star restaraunt. Without a little more context, it's hard for me to cry foul. I'm just glad the kids got to use a pool like they'd planned on, in the end.

That's sucks. Yeah, ban a kid if he's a kid who pee's in the pool and does it just for fun, but not for that.

A few years ago, former 76er Aaron McKie faced racism as he waited for his home in Gladwyne, Pa. to be completed.
A neighbor decided to take drastic measures to preserve the sanctity of his street.
Neighborhood residents recently found anonymous flyers in their mailboxes that read: "Attention please, read if you care about your neighborhood!!! How can we prevent Aaron McKie from moving into our safe and peaceful neighborhood? His house is almost complete on Youngsford Road. Let's prevent another Iverson from moving in!"
Seriously. WTF Philly?
