When he sat down in the ring and gave a 20-30 minute promo that had something to do with Terri Schiavo. Good snorking GOD, that was HHH at his show-hogging WORST. ...when the hell did this happen, and do you have a link to it? As for the topic itself, the Reign of Terror really soured me on him. I kinda recovered with DX (since juvenile pranks are A-OK), but then this recent bout set me right back to Irritated.

My opinion on him flip-flops from match to match. But the Reign of Terror and The DX Reunion were awful, just awful.

I chose "other." For me, it was when the whole "Rikishi ran over Austin" angle was tanking, and instead of saving it with clever writing or in-ring storytelling, they switched over to Triple H being the "mastermind," pretty much thrusting HHH back into a spot he didn't need, and dropping Rikishi's attempted heel turn into worse-than an afterthought.

2000 - Triple H was wrestler of the year he was amazing 2001 - Before injury he had some great matches 2002 - His comeback was epic and his feud with HBK was gold but inbetween meh 2003- HBK Dec Raw was the only match that i recally being excellent AWFUL year for him 2004 - I liked most of his stuff this year 2005 - ANNOYED the hell out of me when he hogged all of Batista's title defences 2006 - HBK's worst in ring year ever, and Triple squashing everyone helped that 2007- Good matches when he was there 2008 - His title run was boring
Soo for me i would say 2006 over 2003, cause i liked his work in 04. 2006 he just squashed everyone and HBK was along for the ride. HBK normally will put on a masterful show no matter who he is facing, but with H there it was all about squashing and i detested it

Isn't it amazing that in 2000 when you put him in the ring the Rock, Jericho, Benoit, Angle, and Stone Cold the majority of the year..he's supposedly "amazing" yet when those talents aren't around to carry him or get fans into him, he turns out to be one of the worst main event talents this side of Bill Goldberg.

He's still as popular as he ever was so I have to question whether you know what "jump the shark" actually means.

Awesome point, I never really saw HHH as a great wrestler. He has had some very good matches, but those were usually with very good wrestlers. He does not have the ability to carry weak wrestlers, and can even have weak matches with relatively good wrestlers(look at him and Orton). As far as his current character goes, it is weak and he should turn heel, or be more in the background and stay out of the ppv main events for once.

When he was handed a World Title on RAW. I just felt like at that point they weren't even trying to hide his backstage pull. "Here's the big gold belt, now go feather your hair and pretend to be Ric Flair for two years".

The Katie Vick angle. He didn't just jump the shark. . . he mounted, molested, and deflowered it.

For me it was the return of DX. It just seems that Shawn Michaels and Triple H have pretty much outgrown their DX characters and it's time to move on. I'm sorry but middle age men telling poop jokes and one a balding born again christian and the other married to the boss' daughter is hardly anti-establishment.
Most of it was Shawn Michaels. Anytime a comedian, musician, or what have you who got famous for a raunchy act finds god or gets sober and tries to keep doing their last act minus the sinful stuff it just plain sucks.

He was overrated in 2000. Given far too much credit that year..almost to a sickening degree. Same thing in 2001. But it was 2002 where everyone started to realize he was not as good as advertised and he was more a product of careful pushing and main event overstuffing than anything else. Well...of course he got with Stephanie in real life in 2000 too but no one knew that until it was far too late as he was rained down with overpraise like he was elite. Yeah, that's about right. I got tired of him by the end of 2000. The Mcmahon-Hemlsey Facgime was like the nWo; it worked at first but then they ran it into the ground. I didn't read any wrestling sites other than WrestleCrap, but Raw in 2002 became pretty unwatchable by the end of the year partially due to the Reign of Terror. I know friends who sat through the Invasion and other stuff like that but that was the final straw and they haven't watched wrestling since.

The first warning signs came in 2000, particularly when he was the first heel to leave Wrestlemania as champ. But between being pushed to the moon moreso than ever and leaving nobody to spare except HBK and Hogan, 2002 did it.

I liked him in 2000, 2001, 2002, but 2003 made me almost hate Raw at that point. You know he jumped the shark when you refuse to watch Raw just because HHH was on it
