Random thought just popped in my cranium. So I just popped in the Hulk Still Rules dvd and i see the old dont try this at home psa and the clip of them carrying Droz out is shown. Now we all now that at Over the edge after Owen's accident the show did indeed go on. Even after Stone Cold got his piledriver at Summerslam 1997 the match just stopped for like a minute or so with no one knowing how bad Austin's neck was and Stone Cold won after the worst roll up although understandibly so don't get me wrong.
Now if the show must always go on I must wonder if after Droz got powerbombed Did D'lo pin him or did the match just stop then and there?

According to the historyofwwe.com:
WWF @ Long Island, NY - Nassau Coliseum - October 5, 1999 (12,133; sell out)
WWF European Champion D-Lo Brown fought Droz to a no contest when the champion botched a powerbomb and the match was stopped due to injury (this bout was taped for Smackdown! but not televised due to the injury; Droz' final match; he was paralyzed as a result of the move)

If Shane died doing one of high risk spots, The show would not go on. If this ever happens, It would be one of the biggest uproars in wrestling history because of the show going on after Owen's accident.

its a shame, while not a phenomenal talent, Droz was a really good guy. Does he still do a column on WWE.com?

I dont think it would be such an uproar because WWE would say they've learned from past mistakes

If something ever were to happen to him, and they stopped the show...I think THEN you'd have people really up in arms.

If someone died in the ring, WWE would stop the show immediately. This wouldn't be because HHH or Shane are seen as more important than Owen, it would be because they learned from what happened with Owen that it was a mistake

Why must we manage to sneak a pill of HHHate in every possible thread?

Why must we manage to sneak a pill of HHHate in every possible thread? This is why they don't allow us to have nice things

Here was the Owen scenario though...
Falls from the ceiling. Doesn't look good as they do CPR in the ring. They take him out to the ambulance and then the hospital.
Does the WWE stop the show right then? What if he were to live and it just be a serious injury? Do you stop it right when JR tells the viewers that Owen died? Technically, the show had already "gone on" so do you stop it then?
Its a touchy subject with no real right answer. As a viewer that night, I can understand why the show went on. I don't think it was that terrible to do so. That being said, I think if it happened tomorrow, the show would still go on no matter who it were (Shane, HHH, Steph, etc.).

But Didn't Owen not actually die in the ring?
He died on the way to hospital didn't he?
