If the WWE put the price at about 25 to 30 bucks and have ECW a match or two on them i think it would be a benefit. Not only would mid carders, young stars and and all the titles that are not World Titles would benefit. People come out and say that they dont have enough talent to make a successful ppv but I think WWE has plenty enough talent to make good ppvs IMO.
What do you think?

Single brand Smackdown shows would be awesome right now, but the problem is you'd have to do them for Raw as well. Even an ECW match here or there wouldn't save that mess. I mean mess in the sense that you want to see the definition of repetitive? HHH, Orton, Batista, Cena. It would be those four, and almost always those four.
I was all for the single branded shows when they were doing them. I felt the Smackdown ones generally delivered on many occasions. Problem is since 2008 I've found most of the multi-brand pay-per-views to be good to great. So going back now would almost seem counterproductive to me.

Single-branded shows have given us such greats as: - Mordecai vs Scotty 2 Hotty
- Chavo vs Jacqueline
- Carlito vs Big Show
- Mizark vs Kurt Angle
- Khali vs Undertaker
- Steven Richards vs Tomko
And various matches from people that no one cared about. Overall they sucked(See GAB 04)

Single brand PPVs are a definite positive.

I know it wouldn't make any friggin' sense, but I'd love to see Smackdown have single-branded PPVs once in a while.
The problem is:
1) Going back to that would be counterproductive, as MGH said. 2) That would mean Raw and ECW would also need to have the occasional single-branded PPV. 3) Raw and ECW PPVs would not be able to deliver, even if they held them together.

bad, there are too many PPV as it is already
and ECW doesn't have enough talent or a deep enough roster to round out a PPV

We got Billy Kidman vs. Paul London at No Mercy 2004. Which I didnt expect to like at all. The Coach vs. Tajiri from Backlash 2004 suprised me as well.

Not a single one of those events were single brand PPVs. So I don't see what the point of listing them is.

I would LOVE to see Smackdown/ECW get their own PPVs without no Raw stars. Benjamin/Morrison for 20 minutes? Evan Bourne vs Christian for 20 minutes? Yes...that would be IDEAL. Not to mention I wouldn't have to spend a penny on that wasteland known as Raw...my apologies, Maryse.

I used to dislike/be indifferent to single-branded PPVs...
But in hindisht they helped preventing the oversaturation of the already saturated Main Event scene [giving each brand a longer buildup time from one PPV to the following one], and most important, they gave some PPV airtime, and hence a storyline of sorts, to midcarders or even lower midcardes who are now lost in the shuffle, or fired.
Especially in these days of crossbrand being the rule and not the exception, I'd really try to "take a step backwards" and reverting back to single branded PPVs.

They need about half the PPVs they currently have, rather than more. The rosters are very uneven also, which would make it worse. I can't see anyone buying single-brand ECW PPVs.
