Hey kiddies.. insteada starting a new thread per round of releases and your feelings of righteous anger therein.. Let's keep it confined to here if at all possible. Thanks.

How the f*** can you fire Marty Freakin Jannetty. He put on the best match of the year on Smackdown, between him and Kurt Angle. He didn't need Shawn Michaels. His own skill could have put him to the top, and maybe one day, put the both of them together.

I haven't seen this many pink slips since the last time I raided a Playboy playmate's dresser.

For those visiting unawares:
Matt Morgan Charlie Haas Jackie Gayda Marty Jannetty Dawn Marie Mark Jindrak Maven Shannon Moore James Yun (Akio) David Heath (Gangrel) Billy Kidman Spike Dudley Kevin Fertig
All released.
And this: WWE has decided not to proceed with any renegotiations with Bubba and D-Von Dudley. We wish both Bubba and D-Von the best in all future endeavors.

I dunno if this has been said yet, but does anybody else find it odd that pretty much every released superstar was currently on smackdown? Does that mean that they are really trying to lessen the budget of smackdown or could it be that the raw cuts are just around the corner?

Smackdown's roster was actually alot bigger than Raws before this started, to the point that i noticed it really stood out about a week ago on Obsessed with Wrestling

Matt Morgan gets released while Snitsky hasn't (yet)? Where's the justice?

I was really surprised by the Dudleys. I know they can get stale quickly but I still think the WWE could have gotten more out of them. They'd be a great pick-up for TNA but I'm sure the WWE will hold them to a ninety day no-compete clause and I'm not sure they even have the rights to the name Dudleys. Maybe they do.
Haas deserved better but maybe he too can find it in TNA. It's a shame about Marty Jannetty. He was great in the two matches he wrestled on Raw and Smackdown and I think the WWE could have gotten something out of him.

Snitsky deserves to stay, morgan just stank Yeah right, Snitsky should have been first on the motherf***ing list of releases Ones I'm most upset & suprised at are Charlie Haas (There's a nice wedding present from the WWE for you) Dudley Boyz (Not angry just suprised) Dawn Marie (Let this be a lesson for any diva not to get pregnant)

These cuts really show you where the WWE and Vince's head is at. Guys like the Dudleys, Haas, and Jannetty get cut while no-talent hacks who have never done anything like Snitzky, Heindriech, and Viscera get to keep their jobs.

I am seriously surprised by this one. Things could get VERY interesting on the Indy scene with some of these guys that the WWE is realeasing.

Nothing really shocks me here, I knew about the releases. I just can't believe Scotty 2 Hotty has avoided getting released again. Unreal

Maybe an ECW or XPW done the right way (i.e. TNA dropping the sic-sided ring and doing some different things) could REALLY thrive right now. I't almost like everything is set up to be WWE/WCW/ECW all over again.

Guys, let's not get out of hand here. The WWE is still light years ahead of anyone else. It's gonna take TNA a whole lot more than signing a Rhyno or a Charlie Haas to compete head-to-head with the WWE. This helps out the indy scene for sure, but the WWE has nothing to fear right now because I don't think any of these guys will make Vince think twice about releasing them.
