HHH: the current center of the wwe universe, the man who (like it or not) is the face of wwe right now.
ric flair: the greatest star to ever be in wcw, the man that was the face of wcw for a lot of people, who plays lap dog to the man who is the face of wwe.
is this vinces symbolic way of once again disrespecting wcw?

no. and i really didn't see ric flair as THE FACE of WCW. when he left for the WWE with the title i lost some (but not all) respect for him. If anyone was THE FACE of WCW throughout it all it has to be Sting. Sting never left WCW for another company. He was always there. If anything the ultimate slap in the face to WCW was Vince not bringing in Sting.

Actually, wouldn't Sting being the only big WCW player to never work for WWE be something that would maintain respect? Sting's one of the only people who can say he only worked for one promotion. Even Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, who have spent most of their careers in WWE, can't say that.

Eh, I always thought of Ric Flair as the face of WCW, but Sting is obviously up there with him (hence why their match made so much sense on the last Nitro).

Sting was a part of NWA-TNA before jobbing to Jarrett...

Sting was a part of NWA-TNA before jobbing to Jarrett... WCW was also dead at the time when that took place.

Even Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, who have spent most of their careers in WWE, can't say that. Actually, other than spending some time in AWA or wherever the hell he was before WWE, Michaels has never been with another promotion since joining WWE, and that includes WCW.

And? He still wrestled in other promotions.

Uh sting was in georgia championship prior to wcw, he was ultimate warrior's tag mate (warrior had a different gimmick then) No one ever stays in one promotion because they come up somewhere...these days a college import like Shelton Benjamin or Brock Lesnar may, but then again OVW is technically a promotion...

Sting was the face of WCW. You could argue Ric Flair was the face of the NWA.
