I know this is another one of those threads, but this is one of those times when I just want to let it out without putting it on a FB status and getting their wrath on me. (Warning: Long Post Coming)
At the Summer Ball at my Uni, I met these three girls. One of them I fell for and had seen for so long around school, I never expected to meet them when I did. They just randomly came behind me and I spent the rest of the night with them. I enjoyed it, albiet thought in the back of my mind about why this was going on to me and what was going to happen afterwards.
So I got in contact with her on Facebook and started to see a problem. I spoke to her for a few weeks and decided that I wanted to ask her out and tell her how I felt, mostly because I was going to Ireland for a couple of days. The girl, as I expected, didn't exactly blossom into life, talking about her coming off a serious relationship to which I just said 'Fair enough, but I still like you'.
Then the cracks started to appear.
Her friend, for reasons I will never understand, started pestering me about how much I liked her. She might have been kidding, but she was asking me things about marrying her and stuff like that. I wanted to go out with her for a bit, not marry her! So basically, she was being a right pest, to put it nicely.
Then it was arranging that actual date. And then it was coming to me that, rather then just having a date with the girl, I had to have her friend with me. Yep, I thought, this isn't going to be easy. It pretty much turned into a seesaw from there. One was free, the other wasn't and this changed for the next week or so.
Whilst I was out with my family, I got a text from the girl I liked who was with the friend asking about when we're going and, this is where the situation firmly slapped me in the face, am I going to pay for them? I texted back 'If I do, don't buy too much '
Nothing for 6 days.
Then I tried to get in contact with the friend today, who texted me back saying 'Call her' (was going to put her nickname, but didn't want to).
So I did.
In condenced form, what happened was the friend asked me if I loved her, which I didn't, she thought it was rude of me to say what I said (Even though I was JOKING!) and, after I said I would pay for the girl's meal and not her friend's (because I don't want to, you know, be taken advantage of), she said in so many words 'kthnxbye' and hung up.
So yeah, I'm not bothered anymore. She was very attractive, but she's ruled by her friend and lets her make her decisions for her so it's her loss.
Sorry about the long post, but I just need to vent. I just know how to pick 'em sometimes.
