www.chrisjericho.com/Source: PWInsider.com After reports were just released on why WWE was not fearing the possibility of Chris Jericho signing with TNA, it seems that Jericho might have done the unthinkable. The wrestler is currently teasing a debut with the number two promotion. Chris Jericho's website currently features a graphic with the wrestler posing in front of the TNA logo. While the poor-quality image can certainly not be taken as a source, it certainly adds a new twist to the story. WWE officials had been under the impression that Jericho was not planning to sign with TNA. Upon embarking on his hiatus, the wrestler's word was that TNA was not under serious consideration and that he'd return to WWE sometime in 2006. Again, the reader is not advised to take this graphic as confirmation that Chris Jericho signed with TNA. While it could be a legitimate announcement, it could also be a mere joke or attempt to get people talking.

probably. Ultimately, i wouldn't bat an eyelash if he did go there. I just don't see him ever being The Man in WWE.

It would be nice to see him go to TNA. They NEED one "big name" star in that fed to help them out with casual fan recognition.
It won't happen. But it sure would be nice.

you never know with Jericho. If think for him to really go there he would have to be offered a couple of title reigns and a main event status.

it was horrible. The man should only win the x division title at most

Why would you want Jericho to win the X Division title?! That Title is more respected than the World Title at this point. X Division is for excellent workers, World Title is for big names. Chris Jericho falls under both categories, but I see him more in the World Title picture in TNA.
I HOOOOPPEEEEEE this is true and Jericho's headed to TNA but I'm sure it's just him (or someone) trying to work us.

Really the only thing I remember about Jericho's title run was: him beating Rock and Austin in rematches then going on to being Stephanie's b**** before losing to HHH at Wrestlemania X8.
Shame really because his title reign would have been good if it didn't take a backseat to the return of HHH & the nWo in 2002. As for him going to TNA I wouldn't really care because he wasn't really doing anything in WWE to begin with, so maybe that's the place he should go seeing how he'll probably never be champ in WWE again.

WWE is doing with Jericho what TNA was doing with Abyss.
They're just hinting that he'll show so his return will make a bigger impact.

In Jericho's defense throughout his reign as undisputed champion he was treated as Stephanie McMahon's dog-walker and seemed just a tool for furthering her feud with Triple H. As a sign how little WWE/F wanted to use him at the time just 4 months later he jobbed on PPV to a pre-rapper, pre-heel turn John Cena. Anywho if you wanna see why Jericho is good watch pretty much anything from January-August 2001. Fantastic matches (for instance vs. Benoit at Royal Rumble '01 still the best one on one ladder match in WWE history imho) great promos. I loved his feud with Regal and various other things and all in all he got himself up to main event status. However this was all thrown away by his awful title reign (watch it again and the way he was presented, could you imagine Austin or Hogan being a good champ if they were scooping up Stephanie McMahon's dogs poop?). His reign was a failure not due to his efforts but the way he was presented by the booking team.
This is besides the point however. Jericho going to TNA would be a huge boost for them. Mainly because unlike many of the stars they've picked up, such as Nash, Hall, Rhino, Waltman and others, upon joining them he would've been on the main event/upper mid-card in the WWE, the most recognizable brand of pro wrestling in the world. By having a man on their show of that status it would instantly raise their profile, at least in the eyes of the casual fan which is the fanbase at this point they need to penetrate.
However it's not gonna happen. Jericho strikes me from interviews and his general persona as a guy whose at least fairly web-savvy and is probably getting a kick about us all talking about whether he's leaving or not. Look at it this way, WWE has done a LOT to help get Fozzy recognized and that these days seems to be Jericho's priority. By sticking with WWE he continues that mainstream exposure that TNA, even with the Spike TV deal wouldn't be able to provide. And on the subject of the Spike TV deal, remember this is the same company that gave us ECW on TNN... something that makes me very nervous how they'll deal with a fragile company that can't afford to stand up to them without losing their main source of funds and what not... just a thought.

Rock - Hogan? oops, nevermind... Actually in between the hogan/rock and jericho/hhh the womens title was decided between jazz/lita/trish . . this killed the crowd I meant kill the crowd as in, burned them out from spending all their energy on Rock/Hogan. The woman's match was (and a lot of really horrible segments are) placed between really hot matches to cool the crowd down so their not completely drained by the next main event match. They did it a lot, which is why the woman's division didn't get a lot of slack when it was hot.
