I don't understand why a bad speech at E3 has any effect on wanting to see a movie. Avatar would redefine the way we watch movies. quote]He said something to this effect? LOL. I'll bet it still involves sitting and looking at a screen.

I really wish they had titled it something else. It gets really confusing, because I thought this thread was about Aang.

I'm a huge Avatar: The Last Airbender fan, but even I have very little faith the movie will GET it.

Really? No one can tell me what the movie is about? Basic plot: Humans find a really rare resource on a planet called Pandorum, but it's alien inhabitants "The Na'vi") aren't too keen on them exploiting it. The humans find a way to infiltrate by using "Avatars", which are basically half-Na'vi, half-human constructs that have a human mind uploaded into them. In this form, they can move around with little trouble. The movie follows a wounded soldier involved in this program and his time on the planet. Like I said, nothing about that sets me on fire. And I read today that while the buzz for the movie at Comic-Con was good, there was still a feeling of "Well, I was expecting a lot more" among a lot of people. And yes, "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is just being called "The Last Airbender". Not really a huge change.
