Which two wrestlers do you think the WWE should have the long slow build to? Or do you think it doesn't matter which wrestlers as long as its done right? And fantasy bookers if post how you would do it.

masters and christian(even though it got squashed, they should do it again) I don't think they are competent enough to pull off this thing right.

They should have done a fued between Haas & Benjamin if I was a writer it would go something like this...
Its the 2nd week of the draft. Eric Bischoff comes out and says "The 2nd Draft pick for Raw is a pure athlete and a great wrestler...Charlie Haas" Haas comes out cuts a promo about how Raw is going to be in a Haas of Pain now that he has arrived. Later that night Shelton Benjamin is defending his IC title against let say Christian. Shelton wins the match but Tomko and CC beat him down. Haas comes out makes the save and he and Shelton hug and all that mushy tag team got back together stuff. The next week on Raw they have a match against La Resistance and Tomko and CC cost them the match setting up a match at Vengeance. At Vengeance Tomko and CC steal the win after Benjamin accdentialy hits Haas with a Stinger Splash. After the match Benjamin explains what happened and Haas walks away. Next night on Raw they have a tag match against The Superheros, and Benjamin goes for a tag and Haas just walks to the back. Shelton loses the match and then finds Haas in the back and confronts him. Haas then attacks Shelton. Haas comes out the next week and says that Benjamin always thought he was the best out of the 2 of them, and how Haas never got his shot to show people how great he is. Over the next couple of weeks Haas continues to beat down Shleton and challanges him to a match at Summerslam. Benjamin says he considers Haas like a brother and refuses. Haas then says that Benjamin is a wuss and is afraid of losing to him. Shelton ignores his insults and challanges. 3 weeks before Summerslam Benjamin is in the back and Haas attacks him again and throws a ladder on top of him. Benjamin comes out the next week and says he is fed up with Haas and that at Summerslam he would defend his IC Title against Haas in a Ladder Match and prove he really was the best. At Summerslam they fight and Haas wins. Over the next couple of weeks he brags he beat Shelton at Summerslam. Benjamin comes out and says that he beat him in a ladder match but he wanted to see how good Haas was in a wrestling match. At Unforgiven they fight again this time with it ending in a time limit draw. Haas continues to ridicule Benjamin saying he will never be able to beat him. At Taboo Tuesday they fight again with Benjamin coming out the victor ending the fued. Then at the Royal Rumble Benjamin, Haas, Cena, and Undertaker are the final 4. Benjamin dumps Haas out and then throws Taker out. Haas comes back in and throws Benjamin out costing him a shot at the title at WM22. At WM 22 they have thier final showdown with Benjamin winning the match and then he goes on to fued with Cena who is the champ and Haas goes on to fued Carlito who would then be a face.

"I'm Paddy Caddager, the caddy manager. Yeah, it rhymes, you got a problem with that?" Angle-Benjamin would be great, but first they have to remember that Shelton exists.

Actually HBK and Hogan has had a very good build-up started really from May to date. Three months buld up for a match is very impressive for todays product.

Are you referring to a build up of Hogan/Sting 97' proportions? That to me still remains as the best promoted match in wrestling history simply because it had the fans literally salivating to see it. I remember back then thinking "I can't wait any longer, show the damn match!"
I can think of no feuds currently in the WWE including all SS matches that I think that of. Think about it. What match that is happening at SS could you simply NOT WAIT another few weeks or months for? Yup, none like I thought. Even Hogan/HBK could wait a few more months and I would still pay to see it.
Since there is no major competition to the WWE right now (no TNA doesn't count yet), there is no need to either hotshot the belts on free TV or do a slow, simmering feud that lasts the better part of a year.

*Cough*Shamless plug taken from 'Who should be next WWE Champ?'*Cough*
'7 way contendership'
(Face) Angle is dominating Raw after winning the title from (now an Attitude-like Heel - I don't want to say Austin, but I have to really - because he went postal on a match against Big Show and f'd him up with weapons in order to beat him) Cena, shortly. Triple H makes his return but the feud between him and Flair (wherein Flair essentially challenges Triple H for not being the champ he thought he was to lose to Batista, and insinuates that without Flair's involvement, Evolution wouldn't have even happened, and without his help/interferences, Trips wouldn't have anywhere near as many title reigns) takes most of his (Trips) first few months up. That goes on for a while, with Flair gaining a couple of substantial victories over Trips at PPVs, and it going back and forth until Trips eventually finishes off Flair, who retires.
Meanwhile Mr PPV Heel RVD has returned and is now facing off against against both Angle and Jericho, whom are both face (Jericho's involvement comes from his disagreement that RVD proclaims himself as the whole f'n no .1 contender). Some slobberknockerous triple threats occur for a while and eventually, after Jericho wins the title in the triple threat Street Fight (by pinning RVD, and not Angle - important to the next bit), him and RVD branch off into their own feud.
Angle is now claiming that he is still the most dominant figure on Raw (but still face) and didn't lose the championship per se, when Trips' music hits. Out comes The Game in full Heel mode to remind Angle just who is the most dominant figure on Raw.
They feud for a couple of months, when a flustered Angle, having lost to Trips on Raw, inadvertently gets into a verbal slanging match with Benjamin (both face) in the locker room. After a couple of weeks of this argument going back and forth, and Benjamin getting sick of Angle, whose character is starting to waver back to good old Heel Angle, he starts to interfere in Angle's matches as means of challenging Angle, and proving that he can both step out of Angle's shadow when it comes to wrestling and is Main Event material. After a few interferences, Angle is p'd, turns fully Heel, involves himself in a Benjamin match and destroys him, leading Benjamin into the feud. The feud has now become Angle vs. Trips vs. Benjamin, with Trips and Benjamin now having exchanges too, with yet more hellacious triple threat main events folks!
Meanwhile, eventually RVD wins the title from Jericho (just as the above paragraph has transpired), and faces a few challengers, in Jericho, Cena, Benjamin and Big Show... none of whom can beat him for a couple of months, until Angle beats him and regains the title, and having plenty of fun rubbing it in Trips' face too.
All of a sudden monster Kane comes back into the picture after an absence and simply destroys both Trips and Angle, however the feud branches off into just Trips vs. Kane, as Angle's needed later. Angle essentially creates a diversion every now and then to escape from Kane, who's busy dealing with attacks from Trips anyway.
Bischoff, getting tired of the muddle, announces a tournament of contenders for Angle's title to sort the whole thing out. As a special stipulation though, Angle must be involved (just like the Armageddon Hell In A Cell from a few years back), and if he wins the tournament, he gets to pick which of the other seven he will eventually face at Wrestlemania, providing he;s still champion, otherwise whomever wins it will be facing whoever is champion at WM XXIII.
1st round -
#1. RVD vs. Jericho #2. Cena vs. Big Show #3. Benjamin vs. Kane #4. Angle vs. Trips
RVD beats Jericho Cena beats Big Show Benjamin beats Kane Angle beats Trips
2nd round -
#1. Cena vs. Angle #2. RVD vs. Benjamin
Angle beats Cena RVD beats Benjamin
3rd round -
Angle vs. RVD
Angle beats RVD
Angle is mulling over the choice he has to make when he is reminded of the way in which Benjamin's initial challenge unnerved and infuriated him and decides to face Benjamin at WM XXIII to prove once and for all that he is the mentor and Benjamin will never be anywhere near as good. They go at it for a bit in non title exchanges, until...
WMXX III
Benjamin v.s Angle
Benjmain beats Angle and wins the title. Benjamin is MADE.
He then continues a feud with RVD, who professes that he beat Benjamin in order to face Angle, for the next couple of months until Kane wins the title from Benjamin. Meanwhile Angle feuds with Jericho, and RVD then gets to start the feud with Trips a lot of people have been after (which later becomes a title feud). Meanwhile, Kane answers a challenge from Big Show...
...and that my friends, is booking.
If you're wondering about Cena, well he feuds with the newly returned Rock in a 'superstar meets superstar' match.
