are you 100% sure about that? Punk began his training and official career in 1999 (and not at the end of the year, when Chyna did the move), but was a backyard wrestler long before that. so do you know the exact date he first did the Pepsi Plunge, and was it in fact after Chyna did it? (thats right, i'm attempting to kill your thread) are you going to mount my thread onto a plaque above your fire place? no. after getting a small drop of blood and placing on a slide to preserve it i'm going to cut this thread up and place the pieces neatly in some Hefty bags, then take my boat out to my own small corner of the world right off the coast of Miami and dispose of the remains where it shall rest forever with the other threads i have killed. now if only Sergeant Doakes would leave me alone...

Whats that? Your former world champion beat by Chyna?! HA Chyna, despite how she fell apart later on, was really damn popular back then. It wasn't that huge a deal. Plus Jericho won the feud and Chyna joined Eddie to form Latino Heat. So it was a win-win. Didn`t Eddie lose to Chyna too?

and seeing as someone mentioned a top-rope tombstone; which, somehow, is done safely and very smoothly. I knew there'd be a clip somewhere. Btw, because somebody asked. They were feuding because Jericho said Chyna was a disgrace to the I.C titles lineage including such great names as Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat and The Mountie. Better than spilling coffe I suppose.

Didn`t Eddie lose to Chyna too? Yup at wrestlecrap-mania 2000 via a crappy sleeper/drop combo which became necessary after her pants split half way through the match... why do I know this rubbish?

Didn`t Eddie lose to Chyna too? I believe shenanigans were involved in that. Is that the footage of Armageddon? Yes. The end of the world was brought on in 1999 by Chyna's clean victory over Chris Jericho. We're all living...In the Twilight Impact Zone.

Just so everybody knows, that footage of Chyna/Jericho has to be from Survivor Series. It says it on the apron and there's a ceiling fixture for it as well.
That being said...oof that was ugly.

Chyna's attempt kinda failed since she didn't hold the move all the way through and Jericho was seemingly unwilling to take a standard pedigree much less from the turnbuckle.
CM Punk's version usually looked good, but was murder on his knees....thus he no longer does it (and WWE likely wouldn't allow it).
As for that elevated Tombstone....no way in hell would I ever agree to take that move regardless of who would be peforming it on me. There are just too many ways that can mess up and lead to serious injury/possible death. I realize he landed on his feet and dropped down quick but that could have easily gone very wrong.

For the record, Benoit used to do Tombstones from the 2nd rope in Japan. I forget which match it was in but I'm sure he did one during the Super J Cup 1994.

I remember watching that Jericho/Chyna feud and siding with Jericho the whole time. What was really cool was one of their last matches (Probably was Armageddon, I dunno, too lazy to watch the video clip), the crowd was booing the hell out of Chyna and completely on Jerichos side.
And as for the Pepsi Plunge and that Tombstone from the ladder: They're friggin crazy. Aren't knees some of the easiest (and worst) body parts to get injured?? I don't even feel for the guy getting tombstoned, I feel for the guy Tombstoning him.
