I may be wrong but I swear that in either her Survivor Series 1999 or Armegeddon 1999 match against Jericho, Chyna performed the pedigree on Jericho from the top rope thus inventing the pepsi plunge years before CM Punk ever did.
Anyone else remember this?

Yeah, I recall that it led to me longing to see a top rope Tombstone, although that'd probably mean certain death.

When does she do the move? She won the match with it so I'd say the end.

and seeing as someone mentioned a top-rope tombstone;
which, somehow, is done safely and very smoothly.

First Chyna, then KENTA.

i think the agility/strength to land perfectly and roll into a tombstone without breaking a leg/neck is very impressive.
unfortunately, im sure 90%+ of indy wrestlers would have the balls to do it.

Eeesh, Jericho's first few months in the fed weren't so stellar. Great debut, followed by some good feuds with not exactly stellar opposition, however I think it is the making of a worker when they can have a decent match with even the ropiest of opposition. I do concur mind, that it is only upon seeing the vertiable feast for the wrestling connisuer that was Jericho's tussles with one Mr.Angle and Mr. Benoit that we truly saw main event potential.

Punk began his training and official career in 1999 (and not at the end of the year, when Chyna did the move), but was a backyard wrestler long before that. so do you know the exact date he first did the Pepsi Plunge, and was it in fact after Chyna did it? (thats right, i'm attempting to kill your thread)

Whats that? Your former world champion beat by Chyna?! HA Chyna, despite how she fell apart later on, was really damn popular back then. It wasn't that huge a deal. Plus Jericho won the feud and Chyna joined Eddie to form Latino Heat. So it was a win-win.

Unless someone knows the exact date for debut of The Pepsi Pluge, Chyna wins and plus more people saw and remember it
