I really do not understand the logic behind giving him so many titles in a short period of time- He is a good athlete but he is so boring but congrats to him anyway So many title shots? He's had like three.

Now that the belt's off MVP, he can move on to bigger and better things. Kofi should do just fine with it. He can feud with Matt Hardy, Willie Reegs, and hopefully Jamie Noble!

This is indeed a glorious day. I hope they give him a better run than he had with the IC title.
Hopefully he'll get TV time every week and a good list of defenses. Although I would expect him to drop it to Miz within 6 months.
My girl was so pissed that she missed the match, but she has to work tomorrow anyway.

I really don't consider myself a I LOVE TEH WORKRATEZ!! kinda guy at all, but more than anyone else that has come through the WWE in a LONG time, Kofi Kingston is to me the most impossible to NOT like guy the WWE has had in a LONG while.
His matches are fun to watch, he can talk, his in ring charisma is great, he can get the crowd behind him....I mean, in every department, he's great. I respect different strokes and all that, but.....how can you NOT like him?

I'm kind of curious why they did this. More in that MVP and Kofi are both faces, and I can't remember the last time a face took a championship belt off a face.

Kofi should have a fun reign. There are some good heels he can have matches with(Regal, Hardy, Kendrick, Miz) and he can have some face/face matches, too.

In a perfect world, Scotty Goldman would be US Champion. US as in the IWC, right?

I saw it more as MVPS way to move up, not a big coo for Kofi.

Whenever a thread about Kofi opens up, I always think the same thing. I acknowledge his positive attributes, but I do not see alot of longevity with his character. I can't see him as Heavyweight Champion on either brand.
And it annoys me how long he's been there and I don't have a real concrete knowledge of who he is as a character. What annoys me more is all the success he's had and it's like...Who is this guy? Same can be said for Punk, to be honest. And it's not anger aimed at them, it's anger aimed at the lack of exposure they get as characters.

i might start watching raw again if they're getting serious with the kofi push. and this'll only lead on to bigger and better things for MVP, so it's all good.

Great match, definitely surprised that Kofi won as I figured this would be a routine title defense for MVP.
As someone else mentioned, I'm guessing they have designs on MVP vying for the WWE title as they made it a point to keep mentioning how he stood up to Orton on his first night.

Scotty Goldman as US Champ?! Bwahahahahahaha. Yeah.. that would work.
I'm not a huge Kofi fan to be honest, but I am keen on the idea of MVP moving up the card and challenging Orton - anything rather than Orton/HHH or Orton/Batista for the 10000th time.
I actually think the initial idea would be for MVP to go over Kofi and have Kennedy challenge Orton, but now Kennedy is history...

Kinda surprised Kofi won actually but it was a great match, probably the best I've seen on RAW since Cena vs. Jericho. Kofi's not a huge favourite of mine but he's good in the ring and the fans love him so no complaints.
As for MVP this could be a start of bigger things. Hopefully he doesn't turn heel on Kofi because it would be a backwards step.
