Flair's only appeal is that people can go "Woooo" Theres nothing else he can offer. People do that whenever there's a knife-edge chop anyway.

Add me as well. I loved the guy but he's just making a fool of himself and a mockery of his legacy at this point. Signed, Brett Favre I actually said about 5 years ago that the year Flair retires, Farve would as well. Sure enough both retired. And one has come back for one more round and retired again going crawling back to his former employer to get on their good side (Farve). The other wants to go another round but is being encouraged against it (Flair).

Ric Flair is an old pathethic embarassment who's still better at this then most men half his age, when he should have retired. That's my thoughts on the subject.

The Anti-Flair people are cold indeed. Why hate on someone for trying to continue doing what they love doing?
I say bring Flair back as a manager/figurehead character that wrestles/fights once in a VERY great while. As long as he can still cut awesome promos....I'm ALL for Flair being back for good.

Ric Flair...COMING BACK? For God's sake...NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Because of the heart-warming retirement and all that? HELL NO! I really wish it was because of that... I have never, ever, EVER, been a Flair fan. I've seen him in action since the early days of Evolution in 2003; since then, everytime he wrestles, I change the channel. The guy in the ring absolutely SUCKS; please don't come with that crap of "Oh, but Ric was awesome in the NWA, and in his feud with Sting, and blah blah blah", because you're right: he WAS awesome. Now, I seriously doubt if he can pull more that two moves (that don't include the damn knife-edge chop, and the stupid Flair Flop) I've also heard that he's considering coming back because he is monetary broken, all 'cause of his divorces. I'm nobody to judge Flair, but to be honest, that pisses me even more. I dont' like at all people who can't put in order their lives, and having TWO FREAKIN' EX-WIVES, doesn't make me have a lot of sympathy for the guy. And also... HOW THE F*** DID HE MANAGED TO LOSE ALL THE MONEY HE EARNED IN HIS CARRER??? Call me a complete asshole, but I also hate when a retired legend comes back to the ring. Everytime they do, they overshadow the younger ones. The fact that guys like Evan Bourne and Jimmy Wang Yang were left of Wrestlemania XXV in favor of RODDY PIPER and JIMMY SNUKA, two guys that can barely walk, is a clear example of what I'm saying.

You lost me after "I have never, ever, EVER, been a Flair fan. I've seen him in action since the early days of Evolution in 2003." That completely overshadowed the rest of your argument, IMO. Ric Flair/Piper/Snuka get better reactions than 85% of WWE's roster (including IWC wank boys like TBK and Evan Bourne) by just showing up. That is why they're always allowed back.

Maybe you didn't read the part of "please don't come with that crap of 'Flair was awesome in the NWA, and blah blah blah...', because you're right, he WAS awesome"
I don't mind having legends making apperances, as far as they don't get involved in ring action. Besides sucking in the ring, the legends indirectly bury the entire active roster, and that really upsets me, because it's pretty unfair.

I'd be okay with Flair coming back IF:
1) he still had an aura that would be helpful for a rub. But if jobbing to Carlito and Kenny Dykstra didn't help get them over, it means any rub of "I beat Ric Flair" is lost. Every time a legend comes back there is a diminutive return value. Foley in WWE amazingly helped Edge get his heel heat back in 2006 (mind you, Edge was firing on all cylinders, but working with Foley for a couple of months helpedd), but I'd say he hasn't done anything worthwhile to help the business since.
2) if he stayed as a manager/colour commentator/announcer. No in-ring work. I'm a huge Flair fan, but his last great matches were with HBK at WM24 and the TLC with Edge in 2006. But he can't go like he used to, and the product needs someone who's working at 100%.

Flair could do A LOT more good as a manager/mentor/mouthpiece for young guys than wrestling in the ring.
Nobody is really going to get a rub from beating him in the ring at this point. A lot of guys could gain something from him managing them, however.

I wonder if Flair had to join a certain club in order to be allow back in...
Otherwise, I really don't care. WM23 was really it for Flair as far as an interest standpoint goes.

Why wouldn't an established legend that has been doing something for decades NOT get a bigger reaction than someone relatively new? That doesn't justify the fact that the man is a shadow of his former self (seriously, can we stop all the "he can go better than half the roster!" crap? He's a 60 year old man. He CANNOT go better than half the roster.). Personally, I find it incredibly depressing when a guy doesn't know when to walk away.
