5. Ricky Ortiz defeated Jimmy Wang Yang. I'm predicting this to be the lowest rated segment in television history. I'm going to laugh if the segment gains viewers.

I'll bet you a steak dinner that they were gonna turn Punk heel, read all the opinions online and decided to "surprise" us by not turning him heel. Or perhaps what was reported earlier was false. Still, it looks like they are hinting at it though.

Man, Morrison is owning Shelton. That's like the 6th time he's beaten him now.
Nice to Ziggler get a win back on Khali.
I don't mind Edge vs Jeff again. Its always highly entertaining.
And yeah, they need to keep handling Punk like this while he's champion. Let him get wins over main-eventers, and not make him look like everyone's bitch a la his title reign last year.

The spoilers made Hardy seem like a heel...

I don't see why anyone should be angry about a slow turn by Punk. It's ridiculous that one of the top good guys suddenly becomes a super bad guy after almost 3 years as a face, without any real pretext. It makes much more sense that his turn to the dark side would be a slow one. The way it was done with Jericho last year was picture perfect. Most of the audience hasn't seen Punk on the indies, so they don't know about the other side of his character.
I think we'll get a better sense of where they're going once we see it on TV with the kind of facial expressions and mannerisms used, and how the announcers put over certain actions on TV.

The spoilers made Hardy seem like a heel... I noticed that. If you're having straight edge v screwup on a PG show, there's only one you can have as a heel. And if you want to turn CM PUnk heel after cashing in MITB, why have him face Jericho and then Edge? The NEWZ sites are working us.

PWInsider is reporting this about what will happen as a result of the main event finish:
I thought they'd save that match for The Bash.

You'd think but, it looks like they're taking Jeff off TV sooner then we thought. So my guess is Punk pins Jeff. Edge bitches, they have mini tournament or a multi man match on SD! in which Edge wins.

Or they go with Jeff and Punk at The Bash. Not sure what you'd do with Edge in that case though unless he takes some time off.

just watched SD,
things I liked; The openingspromo finally showed some good mic work by Punk and I actually thought he went heel. Edge en Jeff were pretty good on the mic also.
- JR was really good tonight, he was somewhat of a tweener actually defending Jericho and Ziggler.
- CM PUnk vs. Jericho was an excellent match
meh:
- Jeff and Edge again? Pretty good match but they should stay away from each other for a while.
things I didn't like:
- Why does JoMo keeps steamrolling Haas and Benjamin.... this fued is as one sided as Cena beating Angle every ppv in 2006.
- Why do they keep jobbing out Jericho... he has fallen from the main event to the midcard, and that's something I don't like.

Just watched the show:
The Excellent
Didn't think anything was this week. Not to say the show was bad at all, but nothing stood out like the Rey/Edge or Umaga/Punk matches last week.
The Good
Lots! The main event was a different Hardy/Edge match given the fact that they sold injuries the whole way. Still good for almost 20 minutes.
Punk/Jericho was a step down from what they usually do, but a clean win over a big name for Punk in his first match as champion. A good match on top of it, so Punk is off to a good start.
Punk's commentary was fantastic as well, and I thought a lot better than the promo to start the show.
WGTT vs. Morrison/Truth continued the string of good tag matches on SD. You can tell they're just waiting in the wings to throw Morrison in with one of the big guns for a real feud, they just have to clear up Hardy/Edge/Punk/Jericho/Rey first.
ZIGGLER WINS! After last week he should have.
The OK
I was hoping for more out of the opening promo. I do think despite the fact that Punk was all kiss kiss mwah mwah baby face, this is a very slow burn and the turn is coming. He sounds more like he's covering his ass and making excuses than convincingly explaining his stance on what he did. Plus Hardy calling him selfish, Edge saying Punk wants to be him, and the way the main event ended. I think this is going to be very well done and very satisfying if WWE follows through with it.
The .. I dunno?
Skipped the diva tag so .. *shrug*
Down from the past few shows, but once again, worlds better than Raw and on par at least with ECW.
