Could go either way:
Million Dollar Belt: AKA useless and sparingly used Seperate Heavyweight title for the older guys to fight over leaving the regular title belt for the younger TNA generation to fight over.
The latter would be a freaking EXCELLENT idea IMHO, then we won't have people bitching about Sting going over Joe.

Okay. What are the requirements to compete for this title? Because if it's having a kayfabed inflated ego, and a decorated history, aren't all of the active contenders in the same stable?

Well, you could throw in guys like Rhyno, Abyss (basically anybody who's held the old NWA World title when TNA had that as its featured championship). Mick Foley could be given a shot, as could Jeff Jarrett. AJ Styles might get a chance.
I like the sparingly-used idea better, especially with Booker Cosby in that stable. Booker could say, "If you want a shot, you have to go through Nash & Angle to get to me." The catch is, nobody ever gets by Angle, and Booker could bring out the old jobbers to fight, build them up as "legendary" and drop them in no-time flat.

Doubly so if they integrate his new Cosby-ness (which as they say on Boondocks, is next to holiness) right into the "no respect / old farts vs young punks" angle. "Jeremiah! Why do the kids of today like AJ Styles need to curse with their mouths? With their pants hanging down and their rap music! Bleeble blabble snazzle frazzle Jello puddin' pops!" I'd mark out.

I didn't think I was the only one that thought he looked like Cosby. To capitalize, they should have him wearing really loud sweaters instead of suits. I'd enjoy it more.

The Legend's Belt is, at the moment, a difficult pill to swallow. I may change my mind after seeing a few title matches, but right now it seems insignificant. I wish Booker would of at least attempted to justify creating the title, by bringing up him getting Ike'd out of his last World title shot.
Now, the pros:
1. It looks better than the TNA World title belt.
2. Christian VS. Booker is a very nice start, hopefully this championship causes many a' classic.
3. It's already more valuable than that worthless, butterfly-shaped hunk of tin around that even more worthless waist in the other company.

Legends Belt is a terrible name, other than that it could work. TNA is just full of terrible names it seems.

My hunch is it will only be called the Legends Title until this Old School vs New School angle finishes hopefully in the very far future. Then it will recieve a new name i.e 'TV Title' or 'International Title' and become the staple number 2 championship in TNA. Plus it looks a beauty though I still think the World Title looks better.

How do you qualify as a Legend? Since Christian Cage is in the first match I don't think the expectations are very high. Petey Williams will be champ by year's end.

Are those side plates a set of instructions on how to use the title?

It looks nice. They could do something worthwhile with it, but given their success rate with virtually anything...

I think it looks gorgeous, I really wish HHH was atleast holding something similar to that.
Atleast then, its gaudy enough for kids, but it ain't super bad looking.

Say what you want about TNA, but their belts are pretty. I hope Reggie Parks gets paid quite greatly for his work.

I'm going to agree, good idea adding a new belt that could be as the number 2 belt, and it's been named terrible while still nice looking.
