Do you think kurt angle went too far on his promo against jeff jarrett talking about his dead wife? aren't some things out of bounds or is nothing out of bounds anymore?

He crossed the line.
I wonder too, but it HAS to be a work. If it was too far, it wouldn't have happened two, three times. The push wouldn't be there, and it would be edited out. But it is pretty "out of bounds". Maybe Jarrett is ok with it.

I don't see why people continue to take these things seriously.
tasteless remarks about dead family or dead friends has seem to become a staple in professional wrestling. Whoever has someone close to them where the fans know of and can relate to it, there is always a heel to rub it in. Like Kurt Angle with Jeff Jarrets wife, Eddie Guerrero being in hell, im sure there are plenty of other, though i can't think of them all off the top of my head, there have been a lot of them. I know Randy Orton has done a few just in his time in the business, there has been heels before them.
Double J and Kurt Angle act like it's all a shoot, but even if it is unexpected, im sure they are both on the same page as far as knowing how heated the storyline is and something as tasteless as that can come up in this feud, esspicially from Kurt Angle.
I will say im not liking the whole "Uncle Kurt" crap. I think the wife part is enough to make Kurt look like an evil heel, no need to bring children into it, it just makes Kurt look like a pedoheel.

On the one hand, I do like the portrayal of Angle as being totally out of control. He plays it very well, and there's just enough real-life history there to make it seem quite possible that he is genuinely obsessed. It's certainly much better than that crap we had a few months ago with 3D setting him up with blind dates and the usual goofy Angle crap.
On the other, I think that it's starting to lose a bit of impact. When he did it the first few times, there was genuine shock value. Now it's getting to the point where it's just uncomfortable.

I didn't think what he said at this last Impact was so bad. Bringing it up and something to the effect of "I have no sympathy". Thats not bad at all by wrestling's standards.

Angle saying it once was bad enough. Does he really need to keep bringing it up? That just seems in bad taste.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought "Why has JJ adopted Kurt's surname as well as his own?"
Then I thought "Civil Ceremony", and was going to congratulate Vince Russo & Co for keeping things topical and controversial. Then I read the thread, and found out the truth.
Yea, okay Kurt. We get it. You're a nasty man. We GET it. Now concentrate on destroying JJ because he owns the business and you don't. We can do without grubby Uncle Kurt and all the other implications.

Does anyone think that Kurt saying all of those things is Kurt's way of trying to break Jarrett down mentally and emotionally? Jeez! An angle that goes far beyond physical, who would have thunk it?
I'm not the least offended by it. I've seen worse, but its a staple of wrestling and if you're not use to it by now, then flip the channel.

You say that like that's an angle that's been done before...
Has it?

Guys guess what, Angle's a heel... he's supposed to do things to piss you off!
Hell I still remember Jericho constantly talking crap to Dean Malenko when they were fueding. Throwing out "Your Dead Daddy!"s like they were candy.

There are differences between this and the Eddie Guerrero stuffed, which kept on being used for almost no rhyme or reason to get heat, where as Kurt's not just trying to get heat. He's trying to make Jeff Jarrett mad enough so that Jarrett would want to fight him.

The Angle is good, but its not the money maker for TNA. They are trying to cross the limits and this angle is an perfect example of how far Angle can go.
