Scott and Michael Phillips are set to take their seats as co-hosts for the long-running TV series "At The Movies," formerly hosted by Roger Ebert and the late Gene Siskel. Scott, the New York Times' film critic since 2000, alongside Phillips, who joined the Chicago Tribune as cheif critic in 2006, will replace Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz, co-hosts for the 2008-09 season. Brian Frons, prexy of daytime, Disney-ABC Television Group, credits the change as a return to the show's original roots with "two traditional film critics discussing current motion picture and DVD releases." "At the Movies," which first aired in 1975, was renamed in 2001 shortly after Richard Roeper joined the skein. Ebert and Roeper then the program in 2008. Both Scott and Phillips have served as guest co-hosts on the show. The new season is set to preem in syndication the weekend of Sept. 5. FINALLY! I liked Robert Wilonsky when he guest hosted more than these two but anything is better than those guys.
