I gotta say, after the draft pillaging most of the reasons to watch ECW (ie Bourne, Swagger and the Hart Dynasty), I was right along with you guys into thinking that ECW got the wrong end of the deal. So color me surprised when I read the ECW results and regretted missing the show. Here's what we got:
-Shelton Benjamin with some semblance of a character. -A Japanese guy that comes out to J-Pop. -Sheamus, a guy who's not only noticeable but I've heard can actually go in the ring. -William Regal in the main event scene...even if it's as Kozlov's buddy. -Christian and Tommy Dreamer feuding for the belt. Hell, for that matter... -Tommy Dreamer as ECW Champion, which would infer that, yes, he's actually won a match!
That's not even taking into account Goldust, who was drafted but unused, unless I missed something. Of course, there was also the abysmal Abraham Washington/Bellas segment. I'm sorry, but when all you can do is stand there and look hot, not even looking hot can save you in my eyes. And Abraham's FCW stuff has shown that he can talk, but with the right material.
So, it seems that in a matter of hours, ECW went from being doomed to making me want to tune in. But since I didn't, am I just overexaggerating things?

it's been must seen for months.
Today was okay, but mostly a transition show. It should get better once people get used to all these new guys and they find stuff to do and people to fued with.

It's been that way since sometime in 2007 when they really started their path as televised developmental.

I thought last night was a 'must see' for sure. With the New Talent Initiative(sp?) I didn't know who from FWC was going to pop up and I was excited to see who did. After watching last night I can tell ECW has a bright future ^_^

Regal bores me but all the other additions kind of excite me. Not to mention they still have Christian. Still though, I wish TBK would have been drafted to it.

Nope, more the opposite. Like when the Punk/Kelly/Kofi/In-Crowd etc era gave way to the Hardy/Mizark/Finlay era.

They've had a good blend of guys main eventing who you're not used to seeing in the world title picture and a few new guys who are the future of the company. Thats a win/win

Well I was expecting Shelton to be the new top heel, but that seems to be Kozlov. So... no, not a fan of the new new new new new new ECW yet. None of the new guys have done anything good yet, though none of them look obviously horrible so far (no Ricky Ortizes).

It's been "must see" for a while and it will be, for me, a good while longer. I'm going to relentlessly tune in to see if Yoshi Tatsu gets his own J-Pop dancers. It has to happen eventually.

It's been really really interesting for a few months now, I'd say so.

I too thought ECW was gonna suck after the draft, but the new guys make me want to see it even more.

It's been pretty cool for quite a while. Granted it's not pure gold and there's plenty of junk, but there's usually something new each week for better or for worse.

At first I wasn't too fond of the new ECW but there has been some great talent that's come on the show that makes it hard not to watch. It's a bunch of young, hungry, and exciting guys, which is what the old ECW used to be which is what made it cool and excitinh.

ECW was the best show until Superstars appeared. Obviously SD is now the #1, but ECW is still an excellent show.

Wow. I was going to start a thread about how the new face of ECW is racial caricatures, a jobber champion, and poor Christian stuck there. ECW just went from "must-see" to "kill it."
Abraham Washington, a creature that fell off The Rock's taint and kept growing, must never happen again. That was painful and pointless. Anytime you have to script a Black man to say "Know what I'm sayin'?" you've got problems.
