Former TNA wrestler/referee Shane Sewell has apparently joined World Wrestling Entertainment. He reffed a match between Alex Riley and Bo Rotundo at last night's Florida Championship Wrestling television taping in Tampa. FCW usually doesn't use talent on their television shows unless they are under contract to WWE.
Following his release from TNA last month, Sewell returned to the World Wrestling Council promotion in Puerto Rico.

That'd be sorta cool, though I bet it'd only be as a ref.

It would be a hell of a catch for WWE. The guy is seriously underrated.

From what I've seen of him in TNA I wasn't impressed.
But everyone acts like he's something special.

Sewell has a lot of intensity: even if his movelist isn't all that, he can get a crowd fired up pretty easily. The referee freak-out gimmick was one of the few TNA undercard gimmicks that got consistent reactions.

I really enjoyed Shane Sewell, and wish he had gotten a better opportunity in TNA. The guy is a really fiery babyface. I wonder if WWE will steal TNA's gimmick with him. It was a really good idea too.

I like Shane Sewell. Good signing for WWE if they do in fact sign him. He had a real good feud with Bashir before TNA made him job big time to Booker T. It's one of the few cases where i would agree that a guy lost credibility because Booker owned him in the match and all the weeks leading up to their match.

Personally, I wouldnt mind him staying as a referee......I never was one that was impressed with his ring skills in TNA.
