I'm pretty sure this is where they're headed for Wrestlemania.
Anyways, seeing as how the build up for HBK/Hulk match has been going (mostly HBK carrying this whole fued), and going for this worked shoot promos, I can honestly say if this is how it's going down, I can't wait.
Yesteday I popped in my Stone cold Trush Dvd for kicks, and popped in the old Ecw promos, and they were awesome. I realize Austin's promo's, while good, have lacked that fire he had before he the Austin/McMahon fued ended, but by God if he's put in a fued with Hogan and allowed to shoot, I think he could muster up all that old Passion and anger and start shooting some worked shoot promos that even HBK would in awe in. And finally we'd have Stone cold back, in his most intersting form: angry, bitter arrogant STeve Austin. Especially since Hogan's so protective of his legacy, that he's been saying things to downplay Austin's impact compared to his. And almost everyone body he's shot on is now working for WWe: Flair, Bischoff, Dusty, HOgan.
I just hope they make austin the tweener like hbk in this, and we get a free Hulk sized stunner on Raw.

I can't see WWE going with Hogan vs. Austin for WrestleMania as I don't see Hogan coming back for a match against Stone Cold and how do we know Austin's neck is healthy enough for a match?

Austins neck is a question as well as his knees. I dont see him coming back for any more matches.

Actually the last interview I heard from Austin was that he was interested and in decent enough health to come back for 2 or 3 really special matches. And he said he's perfectly willing to work with HOgan, and he regrets that Goldberg never came to WWe in time for hte money match and instead sat on his guaranteed contract.
Besides a match with Hogan's not exactly expected to be a real intense, high impact, technical/aerial masterpiece with just some old school power moves that won't really take that much out of you. Mostly Punch, kick, slam with Hogan. So Austin doesn't really need to do much besides flick him off a cuople times and brawl.

Either way as much as I like both of them I wish someone would tell Hogan to stop forcing the words brother (which I do expect him to say at least some but not that much) and dude (way too forced its like he does it to throw people) into all his promos.

It might be embarrasing for both Hogan and Austin to wrestle each other but if done right could be a nice money match

Oh Hogans promos were gold. As soon as you heard "Well you know something Mene Gene..." it was going to be gold. Austin killed the modern day promo with that damn "What?" thing I just think Austin/Hogan would be better if it didnt happen.

The bottom line is that this match would be a massive draw, it's got money written all over it. McMahon, Austin and Hogan all know this. Rock vs. Hogan wasn't exactly a technical masterpiece, and yet it was still a compelling match largely due to the reaction of the crowd. If this match were to unfold in a similar way which i imagine it would, it would be entertaining and worthwhile, if not legendary. But obviously Austin is a big question mark due to his injuries. If this match could happen and somehow Bret vs. HBK could as well, it would certainly be a memorable Wrestlemania card.

You have two men with terribly shoddy knees, and one with two new hips. And even besides the knees, Austin isn't exactly in great shape to wrestle. At least Rock was in good wrestling shape against Hogan.

If Austin is healthy enough to stun people at Wrestlemania, he's healthy enough to have a "match" with Hogan. It's not like we're talking about an opponent with absurd workrate that he has to keep up with or anything. It'll just me messy slugging, some big boots, some brawling, etc.

I don't want to see it. They're both way too far past their prime and hampered by injuries to be worth anything more than putting other people over, really.

I love to see it...all the sloppy moves and wasted punches. don't know if I can part with the bread for the PPV though.
