Just wondering what everyone's favourite Puroresu or Lucha matches have been this year? Been out of the loop a bit and need to catch up on some good wrestling.
I really enjoyed Tiger Mask VS. Low Ki not a classic but a really fun bit of work
anyone else?

BxB Hulk vs. Shingo Takagi is not just my favorite puro match, but pretty much my favorite match of the year all around.

I really wish I had been watching more puro and lucha to give an educated opinion because right now I consider Eddie Kingston vs Shane Storm puro.

Gotta take the easy pick and say Kobashi's return is my puro MOTY. Wasn't that on December, 2007? Y'know, after I posted that I was thinking the same thing. Still, most MOTY lists exclude December, so I guess that means they qualify for the next year.

The WO's list for MOTYC starts in November, so anything in November or December of the year before is fair game(like Kobashi's return).
I think my pick is Suwama vs Tanahashi from the Champion's Carnival Tournament. That was a great heated match. This year has been good wrestling wise, but my mind is totally toast thinking of candidates for most of the WO's categories.

Mutoh/Tanahashi and Mutoh/Nakamura
Nakamura/Tanahashi, Nigata/Tanaka, Tanaka/Nakanishi.
I also really liked Ciber/Macias, and Jack Evans/Teddy Hart vs. La Fuerza Aerial

Sasaki and Nakajima vs Kobashi and KENTA from 6/14 in NOAH. Just a fantastic tag match. Easily the best NOAH match of the year.
Tanahashi's draws with Mutoh and Kawada in the Champions Carnival are worthy of mention as well. Tanahashi had a fantastic CC overall. Also, Marifuji/Kondo from the recent AJPW PPV is probably the best junior match from AJPW this year.
The Hulk/Shingo OTDG decision match was good, but it had the same problems most recent big DG matches do in that they hit their finishers three or four times each and as a fan, it's overkill. Best DG match that I saw was the Steenerico vs Speed Muscle match from ROH (since Steen and Generico have been in DG before, it counts for me).
For New Japan, the Low Ki/Tiger Mask 4 match was pretty good. As well as the Nakamura/Mutoh IWGP Title match.

I also really liked Marufiji/Kondo and that Kobashi/Kenta vs. Nakajima/Sasaki match was billed as a Father and Sons tag match, was awesome.
I especially like the part where they traded kicks
