I picked up the November issue of the Double Magazine from the grocery store the other day for the ungodly price of $9.95. I hadn't read any Apter Mags in years. The most recent issue I have before this is Inside Wrestling from Feb. 2003. By then, I was becomming uncomfortable with the amount of kayfabe breaching in the magazine, the ever increasing cover price, and the transition from good stories to good pictures as the focus.
The double Issue was a good read, but left me a bit disapointed. There were lots of times that kayfabe was completely ignored, but, I'm happy to say, other times where it's kept to pretty well. There's an article talking about Priceless and how their fathers are telling them not to trust each other that's great.
The Roll Call of Champions was pretty cool in one half. I was sorely disapointed with the Top Ten rankings in the other half though. What happened here? Does the IC Champion no longer get the number 1 ranking? Has PWI withdrawn recognition of the WWE Championship as a World Title? What happened to the "Ratings Analysis"?
Finally, are there any websites with articles and such like the apter mags of old would have had, keeping to kayfabe, and covering wrestling as a legitimate sport? That's the kind of website I'd visit every day.
What do you all think of the current state of the PWI family of magazines? What about how they used to be? Would you visit a Kayfabe Freindly website?

What do you all think of the current state of the PWI family of magazines? What about how they used to be? Would you visit a Kayfabe Freindly website? i think if they are going to report about promotions such as Ring of Honor they should at least follow them. according to the latest The Wrestler/Insider Wrestling, Brent Albright won the NWA Heavyweight Championship at ROH's pay-per-view taping Glory by Honor VII. reality: Albright lost the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at the non-ppv event Glory by Honor VII. and the man he lost it to was Adam Pearce, a man who (in either the last issue or one before that) was described as a "solid technical wrestler, but lacking in charisma". also in this issue, they have the "Turnbuckle Turkey Awards". and they awarded one to Larry Sweeney for the Allison Danger angle at the Sixth Anniversary Show. my problem is how they described the incident saying they "won't go into graphic detail" but that it was a "simulated rape" and the fans at the event were "outraged over the incident". i saw the incident, i've judged it for myself, and what they said is a load of bulls*** also they have some stupid article about how the Briscoes f'd up big time by having Jay team with Austin Aries for one match, because, despite have wrestled against them several times, allowing him to team with Jay for that match gave him access to all of the Briscoes "insider secrets"
