Does anyone remember a show TBS used to run (maybe on New Years Eve) that showed old WCW/NWA matches all night? Like from 10 PM-6 AM or something?
I remember them doing this a couple times in the mid 90's, but my memory is a bit foggy.

They did it a few times in 93, 94 and 95 I think.
Hosted by Schiavone, Heenan and (I think) Okerlund.

They only did it twice. Both were in 94.

I have these on tape (along with every wcw and wwf event including clashes and SNME's, and PPVs) and they are just a 6 hour recap show... kind of like a end of the year special, but they showed matches from different years. Before the WWE bought all the footage... this was a must own... however, now you can get most of the matches on dvd sets.

WCW ran its "All-Nighter" special in 1994 and 1995; I have both on tape. For the second one, they did a countdown of the top 10 matches from Clash of the Champions. As a little kid I thought this was the greatest thing ever: six straight hours of wrestling! The second version was kinda weak since they repeated many of the matches from before (Sting vs. Flair from the first Clash is a classic, but did we really need to see this TWICE? Ditto for the Flair/Funk "I Quit" match.)
I know USA would never let them do this, but I wish WWE could do something like the All-Nighter. Considering they have a much bigger library to work with, they could show a little bit from all the promotions they own. They could even turn it into a promo for their VOD service by running little ads during the special along the lines of "Like what you see here? Catch all the action of yesterday, today and tomorrow anytime you want, with WWE Classics On Demand!"
Now what would REALLY make this rock is if WWE could somehow include nothing but commercials from '94 and '95. Besides the wrestling, those old ads are the reason I watch the All-Nighter every now and then.
