Great film! I just wish I had Spaceballs: The Video Game and a spaceship/maid action figure.

Other: I dig it a lot, but I don't know that I'd go as far on the positive side as that choice.

Great movie? Yes. Best parody ever? No.

It's funny. It makes me laugh. But it's a pretty by-the-numbers parody. Not even Mel Brooks' best work, let alone best parody ever.

I love it but there's no way I can call it the best parody ever let alone the best Mel Brook movie (that would be The Producers for those keeping score) So I had to choose other. Actually though it's awesome it sorta spelled the end of the goodness of Mel Brooks as he went from doing writing and creating movies of his own (Producers, Young Frakenstein) or doing great genre parodies (Blazing Saddles, Silent Movie) to just riffing on one movie.

It was funny the first few times. Once it got to the point where G4, Comedy Central, and TNT played it `til you wanna puke it stopped being funny.

HA! GREAT FILM...BEST PARODY EVER! Blazing Saddles disagrees. Exactly. As good as Spaceballs is, Blazing Saddles is Mel Brooks finest film.

Blazing Saddles disagrees. Exactly. As good as Spaceballs is, Blazing Saddles is Mel Brooks finest film. I agree with your agreement and Blazing Saddles dissagreement. Seriously I popped Really loud in the great movie ride when they showed the clip of Mongo punching out the horse. Spaceballs is my second fave Brooks film tho so it's no shame being second to Blazing Saddles

Great movie. I wish parody writers of today would watch Spaceballs to get an idea on how to write a good parody movie.

Enjoyed it as a child. Was stunned at how poor it was when I saw it again recently.

Spaceballs was, and still is, great.
Onboard the "but Blazing Saddles is Mel's best movie" bandwagon, though, but Spaceballs surely doesn't deserve much hate.

I find it quite funny. Was quite disappointed with it when I first saw it though as I was expecting the greatest thing ever. Not a patch on Blazing Saddles IMO.

Greatest movie ever.
I'm still not kidding. Sue me.
And sign me up for Spaceballs action figures. I want Dark Helmet. Complete with Schwartz ring and coffee cup.
