TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION (TNA) WRESTLING BRINGS ITS MULTIMEDIA LIBRARY TO APPLE’S iTUNES STORE
FANS CAN NOW WATCH “TNA iMPACT!” EPISODES, PAY-PER-VIEW EVENTS, HOME VIDEO RELEASES, PODCASTS, AND ONLINE EXCLUSIVES THROUGH DIGITAL DOWNLOAD AT iTUNES
Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling’s extensive library of the world’s best professional wrestling action is now available via Apple’s iTunes store.
Fans can download episodes of TNA’s weekly Spike TV show “TNA iMPACT!,” as well as select TNA home video titles featuring TNA’s biggest superstars, classic matches and unforgettable pay-per-view events. “TNA iMPACT!” can be purchased as a single show for each week or as a year-long “season pass.”
TNA’s music releases, “3rd Degree Burns” and “Meltdown,” featuring the entrance music of TNA superstars, are also available for purchase.
“We’re thrilled to be launching this wide range of TNA content on iTunes,” said TNA Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer Steve Allison. “We are very committed to digital distribution. Our long term goal is to have TNA fans able to access our catalog of products on every possible media device available today. With iTunes, our fans can now get TNA content on Apple branded devices and PCs, allowing people to view our television programming and home video releases whenever they want, completely unshackled from their living rooms.”
In addition, original TNA programming will also be available as free video podcasts. “TNA Spin Cycle” is available free on iTunes now. In the near future TNA will also make exclusive “Web Matches”, and “TNA iMPACT!” post show footage available as free video podcasts.
Another big step into multimedia for TNA.

Wow, what a fantastic idea. Do they have stuff from the weekly PPV days?

Makes sense, they've had this stuff on Xbox Live Marketplace for a long while, so getting it on a far more popular video service is only logical.

Excellent! I have the Kaz/Angle episode of Impact, but I'm pumped at the prospect of more stuff showing up. I'm hoping they eventually put the weekly PPVs on there.

Good call on TNA's part.
This can only work well for them.

It's actually great timing if they put their latest DVDs up there. Their Australian DVD distributor went bust, and we can no longer buy them in stores (and buying from the TNA website is literally over four times more expensive).

TNA can use this promote heir product even more. Having will help them to get fans that don't even know they exist.

Great idea by TNA. (My only complaint is that I'll now never see Piledriver: The Wrestling Album II on iTunes.)
This was a very smart move by Double-J and company.

Wouldn't it be smart of them to include newer themes (not ones that have been released on their cds) on iTunes as well?

So I went and looked at this...
I wish WWE would do this so ungodly badly with old ECW, WCW and WWF programming from the 90's.
I would buy every single Nitro from 95 to 98 so quickly. The Flair/Savage feud. Dungeon of Doom/Hogan. . And Saturday Night's too... I'd love to track down some of that when Ernest Miller was doing the 3 minute challenge.
I do think I'm going to buy the 2006 Impact so I can relive my favorite TNA feud in LAX vs. Daniels/Styles. And then pin point the moment when Vince Russo took over quite easily... aka when LAX was no longer awesome.

And LAX pre-Russo was not great at all.

LAX started to get bleh when they had feuded with all of the tag teams, and Konnan left. They were awful in the early days before Hernandez got there, too. They peaked in the early days of Russo's comeback in late 06.

i always wondered why WWE didnt do this WWE likes to have the control over their property. Their efforts into things like iTunes, YouTube, Hulu, and so on have been limited at best.
