I'd guess she'll join Daivari's stable of Japanese that he is in charge of for whatever reason. Eventually Volador. Jr. will join up. I still have no idea why Daivari and Saeed haven't teamed up

Here's some background on Hamada, with reasons on why she likely joined TNA. www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=37849&p=1The Ito Dojo held a press conference today at Colosseo to announce the card for their Apr. 19 show. But Ayako Hamada announced that her match against Kaoru Ito in the main event of this show would be her final appearance in Japan and she has signed with TNA. Though she has spent most of her 11 year wrestling career in Japan, she was born Feb. 14, 1981 in Mexico City. Her father El Gran Hamada currently works for Michinoku Pro and her older sister Xochitl was a wrestler in the 90s. Back in 1997, women weren't a big part of the Lucha Libre scene so Ayako's dad took her to Japan to work for the new company ARSION. Ayako is considered a protege of Aja Kong. Ayako was very popular and won several titles but things started to go sour after Aja left ARSION in Feb. 2001. She left in Jan. 2002 and expressed interest in working for the WWE. So she's been interested in coming to the US for a long time. Though Ayako was technically a freelancer, she worked exclusively for GAEA beginning with Akira Hokuto's retirement match in Apr. 2002 and that included a title run teaming with Meiko Satomura. She branched out in 2003 and won the WWWA Singles Title over Monoe Nakanishi on AJW's 35th anniversary show in May 2003. At the beginning of her career, Ayako usually went home to Mexico once a year. As the Japanese business continued to flounder and CMLL began to show more interest in women's wrestling, she went home more frequently. She worked for AAA mostly because of her long friendship with the Apache Sisters and also worked for CMLL. Three years ago Ayako started working as a trainer for the Kaoru Ito Professional Wrestling Classroom. She continued to wrestle occasionally but I suspect her price may have been too high for some of the other joshi feds. With the joshi business still stagnating and Ayako way too young to be semi retired, it's not surprising that she would sign with TNA. She's always wanted to work for one of the big US companies and she really has nothing left to accomplish in Japan or Mexico. You can be sure that Awesome Kong is glad to see her as the two have had some tremendous matches like their May 2, 2004 match for the WWWA Singles Title. Ayako is also very good friends with Samoa Joe going back to the days when he used to go to Japan on a regular basis.

I just have a feeling that they'll stick her in a kimono and make her the valet of Kiyoshi and No Limit. Same here. It's like TNA always thinks "What can we do that's practically a license to burn money in a barrel?". We got this Melissa girl who is insanely over in the indies so what should we do? Dress her like a f***in' beekeeper and use her to manage Awesome Kong. Brilliant.

I just have a feeling that they'll stick her in a kimono and make her the valet of Kiyoshi and No Limit. .. and give her some borderline racist / sexist lines ("Me rub you wrong time?", etc.) too. I'd be worried a couple months ago, but TNA is really starting to make some strong decisions. The Don West heel turn was done almost perfectly, "The Serious Side Of Beer Money", finally putting "The Governor" on ice (though I secretly wish she would have come out just once to a Dale Oliver barely-modified version of the Brian May song "The Guv'nor"), making the Beautiful People strong (by extension making the Impact division stronger by making it more than Kong vs. The World), bringing back Christopher Daniels, etc. etc.

PWI and Wrestling Insider, are saying TNA's in talks with MsChif and Del Ray. They claim Kong's pushing for TNA to sign them. Also Sarah Stock will debut when her visa clears. She said in an interview her papers are the hold up.

TNA needs to slow down a bit with the Knockouts signings unless the plan is to get them their own show. I believe they have 17 girls on the roster already.

I'm paraphrasing, but Meltzer said something to the effect that TNA was hoping to get Hamada and/or Sarah Stock to replace the role Gail Kim had as good-worker/main babyface pn the women's side.
Losing Gail Kim hurt...she was kind of the old-school AJ Styles for TNA on the Knockouts side.

First, I say lets be patient and see. TNA has claimed a pretty good record when it comes to their women's roster. They have chosen talented performers and used them well. And right now they are in need of some new, strong faces to go against Kong and The Beautiful People. And I'm also going to come out and say it is nice to at least see TNA putting some strong diversity into their roster. WWE's women's roster has long been bogged down by their tendency to take bikini models and playmates and trying to turn them into wrestlers. To be fair, they have gotten some good results, but it took a lot of time and effort. TNA is forgoing that by bringing in women who already know how to work the ring. Don't be so quick to assume TNA will just give her a typical, racy gimmick. Did they make Awesome Kong out to be fat, trailer park bait? Did they make Gail Kim into an evil foreigner? Have they tried to get Love or Sky into playboy? Thus far they have done a lot of things different from the trends we expect. Some mistakes have been made, but that is to be expected. Lets wait and see.
