I honestly can't remember the last time TNA had a decent payoff to a feud or a storyline. I'm not saying they haven't, but if they had, I must have missed it. It just seems like every episode and PPV is a buildup, and everytime they seem like they're going to end it, there's a DQ finish or it's forgotten about and it just sludges foward.
Anybody think of any good TNA payoffs?

Well, a subplot more than a storyline, but 3D turning on MEM worked fantastically for the live crowd (and for me).

Nash beats Joe after a year of mentoring Joe. The build was an entire year, and that sweet victory over that fat slob getting beat for his disrespectful words towards Hall and Nash.

Even though I thought it was a stupid idea, I think the build-up to Kurt Angle winning every title in the company was done reasonably well.
I think most of the debuts (Christian, Angle, Booker, and Foley) were handled well... even though Booker's debut seemed to "borrow" elements of WWE's save_us.222 and ROH's Age of the Fall, with the online puzzle that spelled out "Borden and Huffman".
Plus, I thought the buildup between Team 3D and Planet Jarret/AMW/Team Canada was memorable, with the whole funeral segment... and I liked Team 3D's first run for the NWA-TNA tag team belts against LAX (unfortunately it ended in the notorious "electrified" cage match at Lockdown).

Soma Joe winning the belt.
But in wrestling you can not have a really good pay off. You need to either bait and switch or keep things going. You can never let the crowd think they are watching the end of a storyline or plot..

It's called a 'climax' and it comes at the end of all stories so that you can move on to the next story.

And what's wrong with that? If you don't have significant changes in what's happening people will either become complacent, bored, or in cases of extreme boredom, angry.

Maybe I'd like to read an ending? When I get into a story it's usually a sign I like something about it's status quo so I'm not looking for things to constantly changed. But really what I'm talking about has nothing to do with what you're talking about. Even if you go for change is there a good reason the X-men can't get back to the mansion after defeating Magneto and not have the shadowy panel of Apocalypse talking about his plans till the next issue?

I actually read an X-Men issue that did just allow them to recap what happened and eat a brunch with everyone who survived Onslaught. I liked it and was glad of it. But it was no where near as interesting as say the slow build to Onslaught with short clips and mentions while other stories were going on. Wrestling is the same way. Some programs go on too long and make no money or add nothing to the card. Promoters force it down our throats because they want to give it a chance to catch and get over, but it gets stale anyway and then you get a non-memorable payoff. TNA is still throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks. Sonjay vs Lethal went too long and had a lame payoff and nobody talks about it. EY and Bobby Rhoode wrestled 100 times and the only thing it did was slightly build Bobby Rhoodes heel heat and slightly ellivated EY in the Impact zone. Mainly it just killed time betwen the curtain and the main event.
