#8 may not be having a year like his biggest fans are accustomed to, but he's still been great. His championship resume from this year can not be denied, and his feuds, like them or not, have been of the highest profile. Coming in at #8 is... #8Total Points: 222John CenaNotable FeudsEdge Big Show Randy Orton Notable MatchesWorld Heavyweight Championship: Edge(c) vs. John Cena vs. Big Show - Wrestlemania 25 WWE Championship I Quit Match: Randy Orton(c) vs. John Cena - Breaking Point 2009 WWE Championship Ironman Match: Randy Orton(c) vs. John Cena - Bragging Rights 2009 ChampionshipsWorld Heavyweight Championship (11/23/08 - 2/15/09) World Heavyweight Championship (4/5/09 - 4/26/09) WWE Championship (9/13/09 - 10/4/09) WWE Championship (10/25/09 - Current)

#7 was having his best year to date before it was cut short. Marches to the beat of his own drum, and wrestles the same way. Had his best year Championship wise in 2009 as well. #6 on our countdown has a reputation that speaks for itself. Much like someone else on our list prior to him, you could argue some of this voting momentum was based off of one match. However to his credit, our #6 also has another great body of work in a feud in addition to his instant classic earlier in the year. #6 is the landing spot for the legendary.... #6Total Points: 233 Shawn MichaelsNotable FeudsJBL Undertaker Legacy Notable MatchesShawn Michaels vs. JBL - No Way Out 2009 Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker - Wrestlemania 25 DX vs. Legacy - Summerslam 2009 Championships---

1. 2. 3. 4. Jeff Hardy (#7) 5. 6. Shawn Michaels (#6 Exacta!) 7. Edge (#10) 8. Rey Mysterio (#9) 9. Triple H (#14) 10.
5 Remaining with 5 to Go. Can't wait to see the rest of the list!
It did sadden me that Jeff Hardy and especially Edge could have been much higher given different circumstances. They still deserved to be in the top 10 though.

Cena hate triumphs over objectivity. Well that hardly seems fair. I'm a Cena FAN and he didn't make my Top 10. What did he do this year? He had a handful of good matches, but his feuds STANK. The feud heading in to Mania was a comedy routine, his Big Show feud was putrid, and his stuff with Randy Orton got really old really fast. He had one good month of feud material and that was his solo stuff with Edge heading to Backlash. His promos are getting worse and worse. I don't see anything he did this year short of a couple of great matches to warrant getting listed over other guys.

#5 is the leader of the breakout movement. Everything he's touched this year has turned to gold. He's taken a rejuvenated IC Championship and continued carrying it with pride and legitimacy. His matches keep improving, he carries the mid card, and when he's gotten the main event chances he's been brilliant. Does anyone in WWE have a brighter future than our #5... #5Total Points: 304John MorrisonNotable FeudsThe Colons Dolph Ziggler The Miz Notable MatchesWorld Heavyweight Championship: Jeff Hardy(c) vs. John Morrison - Smackdown 7/31/09 Intercontinental Championship: Rey Mysterio(c) vs. John Morrison - Smackdown 9/4/09 Intercontinental Championship: John Morrison(c) vs. Dolph Ziggler - Hell In a Cell 2009 ChampionshipsWorld Tag Team Championships (12/13/08 - 4/5/09) Intercontinental Championship (9/4/09 - Current)

I don't see anything he did this year short of a couple of great matches to warrant getting listed over other guys. He's won multiple world titles, won an epic ironman, had an amazing kayfabe record at PPVs. If we're basing this on kayfabe success (which I would have if I remembered to make a list) then Cena should've been top 5, certainly above Shawn and Morrison. But I didn't vote so I can't speak...
