I've already got 64 entries in mind if I run this, but I'd need to know if people would vote in it if I did run it.
The idea is everybody already knows the popular characters (Mario, Link, Ryu Hayabusa, Bill Rizer (from Contra), etc...), so they wouldn't be in.
Instead I wanted to take 64 characters who don't get the same sort of love or hype, and see who would win between them.
If people are willing to see it through, I'll start it fairly soon.

ROUND 1, MATCH 1 BOBWhere is he from?: DJ Boy (Arcade version, though the screenshot is from the Genesis version). What does he do?: Beats people up. Including midgets, punks, and women. All on roller skates. Why? To get back his stolen boombox so he can listen to some goddamn Demon Kogure. VS. BAYOU BILLYWhere is he from?: The Adventures of Bayou Billy. What does he do?: Kicks alligators in the mothersnorking teeth until they die. Also drives a crappy Jeep with the top down. Because some gangster kidnapped his woman. Rage on, you crazy cajun. |

Gotta go with Bayou Billy here. Never even heard of this Bob fellow. It took me a while to find the name of the character from the arcade version (player 1 was Bob, player 2 was Tom. The Genesis version has a completely different plot (what there is of it), and renamed the main character "Donald".) If there isn't a 3rd vote (or a 1st for Bob the DJ Boy) by Midnight EST, Bayou Billy will take this one 2-0 and the next match will start. |

What? : Member of an organization called "SABRE", skilled in weapons use, eventually learns the power of levitation. Must rescue a professor at Demonhead Mountain in order to diffuse a bomb. VS.  APOLLO (standing on the column) Where? : Xexyz, NES What? : Wears the Brigandine Armor. Inflitrates mechanical castles to save Princess Maria (among other princesses) from the demon Goruza. Pilots ships that are basicaly robotic sea life. Was originally named "Ken Urashima", a descendant of Urashima Taro from Japanese mythology. Makes it safe for women to take baths.  |
