I know I'm not the only one, but I really feel for the guy who besides appearing reinvigorated when he returned in early 2008..has done nothing but job across two brands with victories coming few and far between.
That, coupled with the fact that he recently lost his brother (the reason he was wearing the black armband on ECW)..and I can't help but feel sorry for him.
Here's a talented guy who was probably the second or third most over face on Smackdown! in 2006...and then completely lost all momentum when he had his knee injury.
And if he is such a heat vacuum or unimpressive as people say, then why keep him the main roster? Why not send him back to FCW for some seasoning and at least try to gain back some dignity.

I like him a lot. I figured he'd be an ECW Title contender by now. Sadly, WWE has proved me wrong.

The guy had a ton of potential, and could do some pretty amazing stuff, as this little montage of all his 'Monster Moments' from his days in the UK's FWA shows:
It really is a shame that they haven't found a bit more to do with him.

I dont think the guy needs anymore seasoning, he is a tremendous wrestler. During one of those Jake Roberts RAW reviews, he said something that reminded me of Lance Storm commenting on why Val Venis was never getting pushed. He said Paul is so good at what he does that he makes his opponents look tremendous, which means that WWE may only use him in that role, since it is a skill a lot of wrestlers do not have especially the younger guys. He just needs a good push with his vicious character. Push him like Benoit back during his feud with the Rock, as a sadistic badass that likes hurting people. Feud him with Christian or Dreamer, or some other face the crowd really likes and have him continuously beat on them and wear them down. He would get heat with that strategy. He would not even have to win at first. Just continually sell their injuries and how they are being worn down, then he finally gets a victory. Then he is over as a threat.

Because he's a Really Good Jobber and Is Excellent at making others look great hence why he keeps facing debuting wrestlers
He's still making tons of cash so I don't feel that bad for him aside from his brother

It's suprising because he totally has the look of a "main event guy" and he has plenty of skills, but forever reason WWE can't get behind pushing him or giving him a real motive. I'd love to see him get a real push on ECW.

The reason why he isn't on TV at the moment is because he's with his family as his brother died in Afghanistan. I like the guy but he needs to work on his charisma. I was at the O2 and when an English wrestler cant get the crowd behind you in England then something is wrong.

That FWA ring is really, really small. I like him. He's good a good look and is a tremendous wrestler. I wish he'd get pushed. Sure would be a lot fresher than Cena/Orton/HHH/Show or any combination thereof.

Poor old Paul. Nowadays whenever he is in a match it's after an ad break so he's already in the ring! You only hear like 5 seconds of 'Generic Jobber Tune #1'

Yeah, I can't figure it out. He has the look, the talent, and he can come across well on the mic. I'm not a huge fan of his, but he's exactly what the WWE looks for. Its weird.

hasnt really been given the dominating streak he needs, but even with it he'd never get higher than midcard/upper-midcard at best. people don't seem to care for him (bar his pirate run)

He's one of those guys who really could do well with an extreme gimmick change, like JBL or Jericho. He's got talent, so its time to take the risk. Give him something; the guy made a pirate gimmick they had no interest doing anything with pretty good, how about giving him something with more legs and actually, you know, do stuff with it. The Ripper character could be really interesting if done right.

I was at the O2 and when an English wrestler cant get the crowd behind you in England then something is wrong. I was there too, for both RAW and SD, and if I remember rightly, William Regal faced Dolph Ziggler and it was very obvious that we were supposed to want him to win. Whereas Burchill was up against Bourne, and I'm sorry, but I didn't care about Burchill being English - I wanted to see Bourne hit the SSP live.
