fairytale fights WARNING LARGE AMOUNTS OF BLOOD AND STUFF IN VIDEO: www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-ex-fairytale-fights/17-1208/I'm showing you the giantbomb video because it has the developers talking about how great the technology is when you slice people up or when you walk through blood. But here's the problem, the game looks godawful. The camera is zoomed out waaaaay too far, the combat looks repetitive as hell, a stupid picture in picture feature that only serves to limit what you see on screen even more, and there's even a wall preventing you from advancing untill you kill X amount of enemies! what the hell I thought we were passed those things in terms of gameplay design! why would anyone bring that back?! Another thing, why the hell is the game trying super hard to be controversial? Is an achievement for killing children really needed? I know people wanted to kill children in fallout 3 but that was because people just wanted to be a dick, making it a feature in which you're rewarded an achievement just seems like controversy for controversy's sake.

No it was because you could in Fallout 1 & 2 and it had story purposes. And the picture-in-picture thing isn't that bad, nor is the camera pulled out as bad as you make it.

So you're some cutesy little people running around a cutesy little world..EVISCERATING EACH OTHER? Okay, I guess, but the gameplay looks dreadful. If it's simple for simplicity's sake, then there needs to be more gore, because something needs to distract you from how inane what you're doing is.
There's still time to correct gameplay and camera issues, but I think we all know that's not how games are made anymore. They lay out the visuals and only fix such "minor" issues if there's time left.

The picture in picture in that video was TONED DOWN. I would hate to play it if it was on its default normal setting. Id actually hate to play it full stop.

And the picture-in-picture thing isn't that bad, nor is the camera pulled out as bad as you make it. I agree. The camera's only pulled out so far because there were four players on the same screen. If you notice, once one player dropped out and the action became more condensed the camera was able to zoom in. The picture in picture in that video was TONED DOWN. I would hate to play it if it was on its default normal setting. Id actually hate to play it full stop. Remember, it shows up so frequently because there are four players pulling off combos at once. The picture-in-picture aspect is cute and might be kinda cool during single- or double-player gameplay, but yeah it might be too distracting when there are so many players.

The thing is, the picture in picture shouldn't be in there to begin with.
It ads nothing to the gameplay and only exists to show off the dynamic cutting. Which is great if they figure out a way to remake turok 2 using the unreal 3 engine, but here it ads nothing.
I'm just picturing a scenario where the picture in picture comes up, and then an enemy spawns on the part of screen that's covered up killing you cheaply when you couldn't see him.
