He had a lot of great matches during his ECW TV title run and his tag team runs with Sabu.

Just so it isn't lost on the bottom of Pg 1:
A quick announcement. After conversing with Roxie, it's been decided that next week's "mystery"*cough* list, will be the first ever Top THIRTY list. We'll be asking for 15 matches per submission. Thank you!

Sent mine in
- 1 ECW match, 9 WWE matches - 4 team matches - They go from 1999 to 2007 - 2 ladder matches - 3 tv matches, 4 if you count that one was replayed on television
Here's more hints to specific matches
1. See ya Austin 2. On the first episode of ECW on TNN 3. The biggest win of RVD's career 4. The first match of it's kind 5. A Wrestlemania rematch on free tv, with a stipulation 6. A ladder match against a Captain 7. 2 former World Champions vs 2 guys who would later form an alliance to destroy DX 8. Winner Takes All 9. A ladder match against a future 2 time WWE Champion 10. A defense of the WWE title against a man instrumental in getting him the title

Man, major outpouring of lists thus far for Mr. Van Dam. Already close to eclipsing Roddy's total from all of last week. Keep them coming at this pace and we'll have an all time participation record!

If the RVD v. Sabu match, from Hostile City Showdown 1996 is missing, it will be a crime.

Barly Race vs Rice Flair will be number 1 next week I would be OUTRAGED!!! it has to be a Steamboat classic. That and i never really loved Rice vs Barly as much as some, i found it kinda boring personally. None the less that is next week MGH i love the pic on your name, cause sometimes i can't find the thread so this actually is very helpful.

Early update here, two matches are really separating themselves from the pack. One WWE, one ECW.

I had consult some of my DVDs to get the event and dates correct but here we are
2 matches from ECW, the biggest win of his career, 5 gimmick matches, 7 title matches, 2 matches from raw....one of which I'm positive no one else will vote for

I picked a bad week to start late on a list. I quickly came up with 10 matches, five from ECW and five from WWE. I will need to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. So far I have found no room for what is his most famous match, but I may try to fit it in as I predict it will be high on the list.

Screw it! I went ahead and sent my list with only two changes. I did NOT include Chambers, Money in the Banks, or TLC matches, instead I focused on matches which better highlight RVD individually, not that RVD didn't shine in those matches as well, but it was more of an ensemble effort. It's harder to view a multi-man match as an 'RVD match' anyway.
Here are the notes: 6 ECW 4 WWE 9 singles matches 1 Tag
-It includes two appearances by a Death-Defying Maniac and two from a guy who fans felt stole the whole F'N show. -No Taker, Trips, Austin, Edge, Jericho, Show, Orton, or Angle (though I tried to squeeze in a forgotten match from WWECW).

I have a feeling many of you Crappers need to watch more old ECW matches. Whatever, this list will still be epic, but if number 1 is what I think it might be I'll riot.
