I think this is the best debut match anyone has ever had in a new wrestling company. Off the top of my head I can't disagree. This was as close to vintage Rob as we got in WWE. #4Total Points: 108ECW Television Championship: Rob Van Dam(c) vs. Jerry Lynn - ECW Hardcore Heaven 1999 Part 1Part 2 Durr...this is what match I was thinking of for my number 2, but I put Hardcore Heaven 2000. I messed up twice because I also put the wrong year for the RVD/Christian match on Raw (putting 2002) and it turns out that they had a match that year too.

I usually take a lot more time on my lists and check the dates, but I got TWO dates wrong this time that happened to be actual matches. Once I messed up a year and it didn't matter because you knew what I meant, but this time both of my mistakes happened to be matches that took place.

Here we are again, down to it! Once more, thanks to everyone who voted this week. Rob had a phenomenal turn out and I hope those who told me you were first time voters will stick around from here on out. Time to get to the business at hand though. The trend on these lists is that the final two often find themselves being polar opposites of one another. A great brawl vs. a technical classic. Ladder match vs. I Quit match. This week the matches may not be entirely different, but the promotions certainly are. Our final two matches each came from a different organization. One, a spectacular athletic contest which left my jaw dropped at more than one point when viewing it. Who truly was the Whole f***in' Show? The other, a match perhaps known best for its explosive atmosphere and ravenous crowd. A crowd which desperately wanted to see their old hero reclaim the former glory he had once held in that very building some 5 years earlier. We can only have one winner, though that's a shame in this case. Both matches traded off the #1 spot back and forth all week. Ultimately the final three lists I received ended up finally settling the race. A race which was decided by a mere SIX points. Here it is, the final reveal. Is it ECW or WWE? Athleticism vs. Drama? Coming in at #2, as the second greatest match in the career of Rob Van Dam IS..... #2Total Points: 115ECW Television Championship: Rob Van Dam(c) vs. Jerry Lynn - ECW Living Dangerously 1999Part 1Part 2

After going through this list RVD has to be known as one of the most underrated in wrestling history. Every match in this list has been amazing. Also the crowd is into EVERY single match of his. It's amazing. Shame he isn't in WWE anymore.

NOOOOO!!!! I was hoping that would be number one!
I'll never forget watching the PPV and hearing the fans spontaneously chanting 'the new f******* show!' That match made Jerry Lynn in ECW, though he was relatively over already and had some great matches with Justin Credible before this.

This list reminded me of my ECW fandom back in the day and how great RVD was in ECW.

Here's my list:
10. Rob Van Dam VS John Cena, WWE Title Match, ECW One Night Stand 2006 (1) 9. Rob Van Dam VS Hardcore Holly, Extreme Rules Match, ECW, 9-26-2006 (28) 8. Rob Van Dam VS Christian, Ladder Match For The Intercontinental Title, RAW 9-29-2003 (7) 7. Rob Van Dam VS Jeff Hardy, Ladder Match For The WWF Hardcore Title, SummerSlam 2001 (16) 6. Rob Van Dam VS Jerry Lynn, ECW Guilty As Charged 2001 (14) 5. Rob Van Dam VS Bam Bam Bigelow, ECW TV Title Match, 4-4-1998 (11) 4. Rob Van Dam VS Edge, WWE Title Match, Vengeance 2006 (19) 3. Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy VS Bubba Ray and Spike Dudley VS Christian and Chris Jericho VS Kane, TLC Match For The World Tag Team Titles, 8-7-2002 (9) 2. Rob Van Dam VS Eddie Guerrero, Ladder Match For The Intercontinental Title, RAW 5-27-2002 (3) 1. Rob Van Dam VS Jerry Lynn, ECW TV Title Match, ECW Hardcore Heaven, 5-16-1999 (4)
I'm surprised the last one on my list was number 1. I know it was his biggest win, but I figured it would make it to 2 or 3 tops.
