I did this a good while ago, and it proved to be vaguely successful, so let's start it up again and see how it goes eh?
Basically, using the week from Sunday to Saturday, you pick any incidents that are big debating points from the world of soccer throughout the week. I will pick the most popular choice, and then we all have a nice little debate over it whilst drinking a spot of tea.
Tea is optional.
Anyway, any suggestions, lemme hear them?

This sounds interesting. Unfortunately I can't think of any incidents this week and the Eduardo thing's been done to death in the regular Footie thread.

Arsene Wegner gets pissy and kicks over a water bottle and dances a jig on the sideline.
What do you do!?

Anyway Wenger deserved to be sent off, I just don't think it was handled at all well. You're the most famous club in England surely you should be doing better than this?

It was pretty dumb on the ref to send Wenger off with it being so close to full time, loved how Arsene played to the fans though! Im a man utd fan but we didnt deserve to win that at all.A draw would have been at most the result we deserved.Hopefully the FA see sense and will not punish Wenger for what was an understandable show of frustration. And for people who dislike footie in the UK,no need to post in this thread if you dont like it ^-^.

I cleaned this thread up, but guys... seriously -- if you do NOT like soccer/football, please do NOT post in this thread.
The whole 'Real Sport' potshots are not going to fly.
Thank you.

I thought the sending off may have been a bit harsh, but I suppose you can`t go kicking water bottles about on the sidelines. His behaviour afterwards was poor though. Turned the whole thing into a circus. Wenger actually looked like a guy who had lost it when he started climbing about the stands.
But then Old Trafford has the tunnel in the corner of the pitch so it was going to be a long walk back to the changing rooms. Put the tunnel where it's meant to be!

How about banning Nathan Tyson, Tom Kennedy and any other footballer this weekend who thought it wise to goad opposition fans?
I mean, of all the weeks, of all the times - so incredibly stupid. And don't give me this "heat of the moment" argument - 99% of people in the world don't get carried away, so why should footballers be exempt?
Sooner or later, a footballer is gonna get decked / mauled during a live game. I sincerely hope it never comes to this, especially with our bid for 2018 hinging on such instances.
