Up at Ign.com... Why would you kill off a character in the midst of a successful movie franchise? That's just like saying, "We're bringing back the character in a couple months when the sequel is ready."

I don't think it matters. Superman was taken down by Doomsday back in the 90's, and it hasn't stopped the Man Of Steel when it came to licensing/movies/video games/etc.

It won't last long, especially with the movie coming out next year.

I don't see how it's a funeral. Seems more in line with the bunch of comics that have a cover of heroes sprawled on the floor in defeat or something.

Meh. They'll just have his teenaged self from another reality give him his heart. Just like last time Stark died.

No one ever TRULY dies in the comics. They all come back eventually. Is Aunt May dead yet? Sorry...that's very ghoulish of me. Has she passed?

Well if anyone deserves to die its iron man. Not because of what he did, but because the writers are having to much fun destroying him. Just let the poor classic character die already.

Aunt May died at least twice. I think the buried counts stands at Thomas and Martha Wayne, and Ben Parker. Well, unless you count that last TAS episode.
Given all the nonsense Iron Man has been put through in recent years, death hardly seems like much of a problem. Ant Man.

There is no such thing as permanent death in comics. Bucky and Jason Todd proved that.

Oh, come on, Marvel! You take one step in the right direction by bringing back Cap, and now you might kill off Iron Man?!
At this rate, I might not even get back into comics once they start putting out stuff I like, just 'cause I'm getting used to not spending my money on them.

oh please... is Fraction ever going to do anything original or interesting with Iron Man?
eh, at least this "Most Wanted" stuff is finally going to end... seriously, it's been interminably long.

Umm, isn't Gwen Stacy pretty much the blonde girl who dies from getting thrown off a bridge these days? I mean, if you took that away from her, what does she have? Twins? A clone? I mean, she died, that's her major act.
