I guess the iPod is the most popular, but is it really the best? Just wondering what people use around here, and if they've used more than one which one they like best.

I use a last gen i-pod nano, the best thing I've ever won. I also own a Q-be which I use when going places with questionable reputations.

I own an 80GB iPod Classic. It does admirably well, but the cases I've gotten for it seem to love scratching a lot.

16 GB Iphone 3G.
Probably will get the 32 GB Iphone 3GS next year unless they come out with another phone (which wouldn't shock me knowing they bring out usually one new model a year.)

16GB 1st Gen iPod Touch. To be honest, if my original 4th Gen iPod hadn't died, I would have never changed. For a while, just shaking it somehow solved the problem of having a screwed up hard drive

8 GB Insignia Pilot. Much better than any iPod I've ever owned.

I use a 16 GB 2nd Gen iPod touch. That's my favorite MP3 player that I've had yet.

I currently rely on my Slacker radio, which somewhere between a straight MP3 player and satellite radio. I also use my 16 gig iPhone. My fiancee, on the other hand... her MP3 player history is "eclectic," to say the least. In the past five years, she has owned the following: Neuros Audio ComputerCowon A2Cowon Q5WShe is currently saving up enough money to afford a Creative Zii.

But the sound quality is supposed to be second to none.

I use the creative zen stone.
Its only 2gs, but I just use it for walking to the subway and while working out.
I've had it for a couple of years and never had a problem. I love drag'n'drop technology. Synching to a program is too much hassle for me.
I had the 1st gen Shuffle and can say I like the Stone better.

8GB IPod Nano 3G. Love it and with my car I only had to pay £10 to buy a tape that connects to an IPod rather than £150 for a brand new radio so I can listen to my IPod in the car. So, yeah, I love my IPod.

But the sound quality is supposed to be second to none. Ooooh, I love the Cowon line. That Q5W is beautiful. I think the sound is better on Cowons, but it also depends on your headphones. My Cowon X5 finally died after almost 5 years. So, I'm saving up for a Cowon S9. The AMOLED screen is just so crisp. Meanwhile, I've been using a friend's old Sansa Clip 4GB. It's okay and perfectly fits in my pocket, but I'm not crazy about the interface format.
