I can suspend reality while watching wrestling, always have and always will, but I like a bit of realism with my "devastating finishers", and the Killswitch just doesn't have that.
I've never liked the move, because it looks so ridiculous when being put on and so easy to break out of.
Thoughts?

I give you the F-U, Pedigree, and Playmaker. At least the Unprettier if you get past the contrived set up would probably actually really freakin' hurt, what with the guy's back dropping on the back of his foe's head.

I don't disagree with that, but the contrived setup kills it. Also, I'm pretty sure the Pedigree would hurt.

The thing I don't like about the Killswitch is that it should cripple Christian.
Why?
Yes, he's driving his opponent's head into the mat.... but he's driving his opponents head into the small of his own back. That would hurt and hinder you a hell of a lot more than just a blow to the head.
So while you knocked your opponent silly for 5 seconds, you are laying there on the ground wishing you were dead because your back just exploded.

If the Killswitch is ridiculous, then so is the Pedigree.

On a list of "are you kidding me" finishers, it is in the top ten, but I've seen more ricidulous ones.

If the Killswitch is ridiculous, then so is the Pedigree. Why all the Pedigree hate? If I had to list Top 10 Most Ridiculous Finishers, Pedigree wouldn't make the list. It's a big guy driving your face into the mat while landing on your head; seems like it would hurt to me.

There's that, plus the fact that since Trips's knees usually hit first that'd pretty much bring the momentum to a halt before the guy ever hits the mat...

That's called not killing your fellow wrestler in the ring. There is a big difference between Crappy Move, and a move where you have to do something minor to protect the life of your co-worker.

Agreed. Yeah,it takes a minute to set up but it works. There are far worse finishers in wrestling.

What's so bad about the set-up? Isn't it basically just a reverse of how people transition into a backslide?

The Moonlight Drive The Playmaker The botched Pedrigrees of 2009 Whatever that crap that Dolph Ziggler does All the fake Rock Bottoms everyone ends up trying to use(that will never get over because the biggest icon of this era used it)

I don't see how the Moonlight Drive belongs there with those others. And for that matter, I actually like Ziggler's finisher - not to mention that that Urange thing that... I can't remember if it's Ezekiel or Sheamus doing it, but either way, that thing's sick.

Uranage is the Rock Bottom in it's original name...Zeke is gonna botch his up at some point against a bigger opponent and who knows how far the Sheamus experiment will go. That remains to be seen.

I'm not hating the pedigree at all, just saying the Killswitch is a similar variation of the same move - a facebuster.

Kayfabe, you want to hurt your opponent. When HHH knee's hurt first, it would take away from the momentum.
