Despite the lack of Hardy (not advertised), Edge (injured), Christian, Morrison and Punk (other tour), it was still a pretty fun show. And since it was held in the event room at Turning Stone Casino, I was able to leave with an extra $20 in my pocket.
Line up was identical to last nights in Manchester, NH:
Finlay d. Ezekiel Jackson: Finlay got your typical "first Superstar of the Night" pop.
Eve and Maria defeated Natalya and Layla: Eve had a bit of a botch here by tripping on the top rope. She won the match for her team with a running flip.
Eugene d. Ricky Ortiz : Kids loved Eugene, but the crowd got restless for this one.
Tommy Dreamer d. Sheamus : Sheamus is even paler in person. Good reaction for Tommy
Vladmir Kozlov d. Goldust
Chris Jericho/Big Show d. Cryme Tyme: By the time Jericho and Show finished with their promos, the crowd was ready for blood. This lead to a huge pop for Cryme Tyme. Probably the best match of the night.
Rey Mysterio d. Dolph Ziggler: Also very good. Rey, needless to say, was way over with the kiddies.
Biggest Pops:
1. Rey Mysterio
2. Cryme Time
3. Tommy Dreamer
Biggest Heel:
1. Jericho
2. Show
3. Kozlov
Honorable mention: The guy who stood up and showed his "Jeff Hardy Sucks" sign to the (predominatley child) audience. I got a chuckle out of that one.
Lots of Hardy merchandise was sold, so I get a feeling there were a lot of disappointed little ones when he wasn't here tonight. Other than that, there were a lot of Cena shirts and Rey masks in the audience.
The big news from this show is that they are running their first ever show at the Carrier Dome in December.
I'll post some pictures later if I can find some good ones.
