The ultra stupid 'Partner turns on the other for costing them a match' one.
Listen, we are fans of an industry where leprechans have ran wild along with huge love machines and all kinds of weird and sometimes stupid things.
But THIS gets on my nerves.
Why?
Let's go back to when the Colons took on Edge/Jericho on Raw for the Unified Tag Titles. Primo accidently hits Carlito on the back, gets hit by the Codebreaker and loses. He gets annoyed at Primo for making it happen and then storms off.
The week after, Primo accidently moves out of the way, knocks Carlito off the rope and Primo loses the match. Post match, Carlito beats up Primo.
After both matches, the titantron replayed what happened. Then you have the amount of times the footage has been on WWE.com, Afrerburn, The WWE Experience, AM Raw etc. You even had Cole and King say 'It wasn't Primo's fault'. And to top it all off CARLOS COLON SR, Carlito's father, was backstage.
So before Carlito and Primo teamed up again noone, and I mean NOONE, went up to Carlito and said 'Dude, I saw that match it wasn't Primo's fault', one of the production crew didn't hand Carlito the tape of the match, Carlito had no time to watch any of the footage and his own father did not slap him across the ear and say 'Son, you're a smurfing idiot! It wasn't Primo's fault!'
It would be like if someone told you that I had said something insulting about your mother in a conversation and you were annoyed and instead of asking people who were there and going to the person themselves, you went up to them and punched them in the face.
It's one of the very few things that takes me out of the experience because it's one of those things that could be resorted simply by watching the footage back and sorting it out. And it doesn't help that the WWE replays the match in international markets as well as its own website AND has the biggest production crew this side of professional sports.
If the guy is built to turn and thinks his partner is holding him down, fine you can run with that and make it work. Look at Edge/Jericho. Both are heels and, when one went down, you can now build towards a match between the two. Heck, even with the small build it had, the seperation of Morrison/Miz made sense because Morrison made it look like Miz wasn't his equal during that Dirt Sheet episode.
I just had to get that off my chest because it always, ALWAYS, bugs the crap out of me.
