Post bands you think don't get the recognition they deserve. I'll start off with...
Death Angel
Savatage

Screaming Trees. Mark Lanegan gets his share of praise but the actual band barely get a mention. I was thrilled to play uitar Hero 5 and see a Screaming Trees song on there. Myself, I prefer the SST stuff. I couldn't find a different video of my favourite song so you'll have to put up with my ugly mug in this weird thing I made a while back:
It's called Pictures In My Mind. I discovered it on the Other Worlds EP.

The Monks
One of the most unusual 60s rock bands, and that's saying a lot.

But anyway they get no respect. >.< Everyone knows the other bands, but ask them about Screaming Trees and they're like who?

Absolutely. I wasn't too big on "American Soldier", but at the very least, Operation:MINDCRIME 1 and 2 are masterpieces. Amazing albums, the both of them.

Pulp, even their big singles aren't as beloved as they should be, Different Class is one of my favourite albums and I was sad that it got squashed in the greatest album tournament.

Frank Black solo is underappreciated because most people only know or care about The Pixies.

Awesome. I saw these guys open for Machine Head and Sevendust back in '99. Great set.
